Wowww. Perfectly crispy, fluffy and moist! This catfish is done right along with the massive sized shrimps! The manager, Maliyah was super nice and professional and helpful. This was my 1st time here and she was so sweet and even offered me a better meal selection than I had chosen. The place was spotless and the food was incredible. Slight ding on the fries. I think they should go with a thicker fry and make sure they stay crispy. Stay consistent and the sky is the limit for this place! Bottom line, when I buy fried catfish in SacCity, this is where I will be going, period!
The restaurant is nice and clean because it's new. The food is good. But the prices are high considering the customer service needs improvement. I was there yesterday to pick up my online order at the time I was told it would be ready. I still waited over 30 min and they got my order wrong. Several things were missing so I had to wait some more for them to be cooked. I placed the order online because I didn't want to wait forever but I still did. The staff was nice and apologetic but they either need more staff or faster workers. They knew people were waiting for a long time and it seemed like there was no sense of urgency. I gave a tip with my payment online but I don't think it was deserved.
Great food and quick service the first time i went. Went for the second time today and have been waiting exactly 30min for the food so far. Still hasnt come.**update** the food took 38 minutes to come. All i ordered was a 3 piece and a chicken sandwich. Almost 40 minutes for 4 pieces of fried chicken and french fries.
Chicken tender Basket was tough 3 pieces for $7,50. We ordered large mashed potatoes and gravy. It was medium with 1 teaspoon of gravy for $5,99. We ordered a large Coleslaw we got a medium for $ 5,99 it was ok. We orderd the 5 piece Catfish basket $11,99.The fish was salty and not tasty. Plus is the Shrimp Po Boy was good. It had 4 pieces of Shrimp in it that were big.we spent all together $49,06. Not going back with those prices and bad experience. ?
The food here is phenomenal! Chicken and fish items always hot and delicious. Next visit I will try their loaded fries. Any time I’m craving more than fast food I’ll come here.
Tried this place twice in the past three weeks. For whatever reason, the floor looked clean but was sticky everywhere. Kinda weird but no biggie. The cashier/cook does seem kind of annoyed to take orders.I ordered the mac and cheese with the regular chicken sandwich the first time. The sandwich was alright, but the mac had no seasoning at all. it tasted like nothing.Second visit I ordered the buffalo sandwich with a side of fried okra. The side was okay and so was the sandwich.

The fish and chicken were good, way too much salt in the mac and cheese. My low rating is customer service. The ladies working the front truly need training. They act as if they are either bothered with taking orders. I asked one of the girls a question about the fish she said, "I don't eat fish!!!!!" Seriously if you don't like your job or your life do not take it out on the customer's that are keeping the place open with their patronage!
So, I just tried SKIPS Fish & Chicken for the first time and it was delicious! Not only was the food hot but, an overall welcome vibe existed! The crew was amazing, energetic and friendly!! The choices were many and the wait time was low!!! Obviously the management know what they are doing and they have hired folks that love ❤ their jobs!!! Thanks Mr. SKIPS for a new delectable place to eat!!!
