My husband and I went yesterday. The food was so delicious! We had the ground chicken and tandoori chicken breast. My only complaint— portion sizes are pretty small for the price.
Yesterday we went to Shalimar at Natomas, we ate food and brought some left ever with one dish of full Beryani that we didn’t opened over there to home. Today I warm it for my daughter and put it on her plate, she brought her plate to me and pointing something that what it is, I thought it is black cordamum (black Elaichi, but NO it was not that it was a cooked cockroach. I would never go to Shalimar again which was one of my favorite place. ???? we did spent $240
this place has the most ridiculous online ordering system i’ve ever encountered.You are charged immediately after submitting an order. Then, a 2 minute timer starts to count down. if the restaurant does not accept that order in those 2 minutes, your order gets automatically cancelled.i received an email saying i’d be refunded; however, i am yet to receive the money taken out of my account days later. i called and all they could tell me is that they don’t see the order i’m referring to and that i just need to wait for who knows how long. First and last time i ever try to order here.
I have been coming to this restaurant for past 10years their food was really good but now the taste of the food is terrible and the customer service is bad too. I strongly suggest don’t waste your time and money at this place.
The location is EXCELLENT with great accessibility and parking. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seatings. The menu has a lot of items. The actual menu has been printed on a very large sheet.The food quantity may be misleading because they use 16 (sixteen) OZ by weight (refer to the posted photos).The price is hefty for the quantity and quality.

Last night I had two exams I didn’t cook and got chicken kabob from Shalimar when I opened it at iftar time it was burned and smelled burned couldn’t eat it. How can a Muslim cheat other Muslim customer in fasting month of Ramadan while fasting? This is a shame for Muslim restaurants to cheat other Muslim. I got this food for my iftar I didn’t cook anything I ended up being fasting again today while I didn’t eat anything last night. Non Muslim restaurants trash if food is burned but Muslims doesn’t care cheat a customer and sell it. At the end they are proud that they are Muslim and honest. Will not buy from this place again.
Terrible experience today at lunch that I never expected when I invited my out of town guests..Serving food in a Terrible tiniest size plastic containers with horrible taste food no salt no peppers or spices felt like just walk out of the door and go to McDonald's for some better food.With jacked up prices and the dining plates I am pretty sure bought at dollar store in some sale..I was very shameful with my guests to take them to this kind of Restaurant and telling them its Pakistani cuisine and people with very rude behavior when you ask something...???????????

FOOD: InedibleThe food was so bad we had to throw it all away. None of the dishes tasted as they should. Everything was greasy, especially the Kabli Channa. There was no paneer in the Palak Paneer. Okra was not cooked through.SERVICE: TerribleI ordered and paid online; got a confirmation that the food would be ready in 35 minutes. When I showed up for my pickup, no one had any clue about my order. It took them a good 15 minutes to figure it out and then another 30 minutes to prepare. Also, they didn't have some dishes I ordered, so (after all the wait!) they reimbursed money for the missing items. They didn't even apologize for the mishap.AMBIANCE: Off-puttingHygiene and sanitation were far from acceptable - everything looked dirty and sticky. The place smelled bad and was aesthetically unpleasing.
