They've been in business for 14 years, but I just discovered them today. I must have seen the storefront a million times going by on my to something near Arden, but never stopped in. It took a tip from the guy at Midas to get me in, but I'll be back to Sampino's, an awesone old school Italian deli and restaurant on 16th Street. Had a delicious albacore tuna sandwich.
Wanted a sandwich and after getting turned down from Ike's for a 45 minutes wait during lunch, this placed delivered. Fresh bread and home made ingredients felt like we were transported to Italy. This will be our new go to for lunch

Great sandwiches and selections of fresh pasta and prepared dishes that are frozen and can be baked at home. I loved the lasagna and butternut squash raviolis.
Wow!!! This place is amazing! I can't say enough about it. The attention to detail into each and every ingredient is out of this world. I haven't had a dish here that I said to myself "Wow, this is the best I ever had". Don't tell the wife though. Without a doubt top 5 favorite place to eat in sac. Thank you Sampino family you guys really do it right.

Sampinos is the trifecta of a great deli. The deli is clean and well maintained, the employees are amazing, and the food is made in house...delicious. I would pay them to work there!!
