I’m from the Midwest so I really do enjoy the home cooked meals and sides. My go to is the roast beef, it’s so tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes are perfect and the gravy is great. It’s a very homey vibe and dimly lit, just the way I like it. The is my favorite local restaurant
I have no words for what an amazing visit we had!! First off, the staff was so warm and genuinely friendly. They really made our night by just being so welcoming, and were so helpful with any questions we had. Secondly, the food was DELICIOUS! Our picky eater 7 year old CLEARED his plate! He was so into watching the carving station, and he really appreciated being asked if he'd like white/dark/half of each on his turkey. My husband got the French dip, and ended up drinking his au jus after he fished. ? We were so impressed! And let's talk about how clean everything was in there!! They're on top of everything, and we can't wait to come back again. THANK YOU STAFF FOR A GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE!
What to say but great Sandwich and Macaroni Salad their prime rib sandwich is so good I literally saved the half for my job at night for night shift oh and even the Macaroni Salad. They are terrific on their grilling the meat. Well to profection they are good on their Macaroni Salad. They good on their service. Great customer service. I love the prime rib sandwich I literally love it.
Had to go into Sacramento for something other than food but when I spotted the Hof Brau sign I couldn't just drive past, I pulled in and decided I'd eat lunch again.Glad I did because a Hof Brau is something that has to be experienced first hand.
I’ve been going to Sam’s for over 50 years. The food has always been right on delicious. Unfortunately. The last 2 times I’ve gone, the food was not what it use to be. Today they were out of roast beef and trip tip. All the trays that use to be filled with various items were empty. So sad!
Sam's has been around since the 50s, and I have always heard great things about it. It's no wonder, the food was absolutely amazing. I have never had pastrami so tender in my life. My kid was really indecisive, so they cut off a chunk of ham to try - and of course he was sold! Homemade pickle slices, salads, and sides. Everyone at the restaurant was super nice and helpful, so even though we spent about 15$/person, it was worth it. Food, service, and CLEAN! Bathrooms, tables and serving areas were very clean. We absolutely love it. We will definitely be going back.
Outstanding food, fairly good service, but if they are busy you might have to wait for 10-20 minutes to place your order, all while waiting in line. But I will say that their pastrami sandwich is excellent, and my wife loves their French dip sandwich. The prices are a little high, but the quality of food is very good.
The guys at Sam's are absolutely awesome. There is a great variety of different meats and you can have it as a sandwich or full entree with 2 sides. The service is top notch and everyone is very friendly and professional. There's a full bar and TVs on with different sports. There is tables and booths and a wonderful room in the back for larger parties. It's a restaurant you definitely need to check out. Great times and food.

Only my second visit to Sam's at this location. Was a frequent diner at their location in Oakland California many years ago. Always enjoyed their food and I was not disappointed.
