4.7/5My partner and I went camping in the Sierra Nevadas for a long weekend. On our way back to San Francisco, we decided to see what Sacramento had to offer in the way of Banh Mi since it is my favorite food.We found Saigon Corner after a quick google search. It was highly rated v so we decided to check it out. It’s located in the Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento in a strip mall alongside other small businesses. When we walked in, the first thing I noticed was the Vietnamese EDM coming from a TV in the corner of the restaurant. It made me feel like this was the real deal! They had many options - banh mi, noodle soup, rice dishes, and more, even mozzarella sticks! We got tofu spring rolls, vegetarian banh mi, and vegetarian pho. They also had a little grocery store with various Asian imports.I started with the banh mi. It was the largest banh mi I’ve ever gotten for 6.50. It didn’t disappoint! The bread was perfect. The pickled veggies were excellent and flavored well. I also enjoyed the mushroom, which was very well seasoned. The tofu pieces were small, making it easy to eat. The sauce was great as well.I tried the Pho next. The broth was sweeter than in other Pho, but it was great, especially with lime and sriracha. The noodles and mushrooms in the soup were my favorite parts. Finally, I had the tofu spring rolls. The fried tofu in the spring rolls was amazing, but I wanted some more variety in the veggies in the roll. The peanut sauce was underwhelming - it was too sweet and a little too grainy.I didn’t get boba but it looked good, and at great prices!I wish the music was quieter. It was very distracting, and made it hard to hold a conversation. The bathrooms were clean, but the key is finicky to use.If you’re in the Sacramento, come here for a quick, filling, and affordable lunch!

I just love this place! It's just always so tasty. I always get a milk tea and B1, I've tried other items but the B1 is my favorite. Staff is always great as well.

Great Food! love the Ba MI Sandwiches and the Calamari.

First time coming here. Loved the pork chop with fried egg special. So tasty and tender. Perfect portion. Its a restaurant with a small selection of asian grocery. Will definitely come back to try other stuff on the menu especially the fried calamari!

Love their banh mi sandwiches, they are fresh and consistent every time. I have also tried several of their other dishes but they for sure make some if not the best Vietnamese sandwiches in town. Bobba drinks and smoothies are really good too. Staff is always friendly, and service is fast.

This place is just the best around. The food is all amazing. Best salad rolls ever. Super fast, great bang for your buck, and so fresh. Must try. Everything on menu is on point. Chicken Ban MI my favorite. Thanks

I dont have to go to houng lan for vietnamese sandwich anymore.Their sandwich is fresh, big & yummy. Spring rolls was nothing special. Ordered honeydew snow drinks (one of my favorite drink) was yummy but they make their thai tea very strong. Just make sure to ask more milk and sugar with it. Happy that it just across my work place.Updated: March 2022Ordered my foods to go. It was during lunch rush which it was somewhat busy. Haven't been to this place in awhile since it was first open. Have to say prices here have gone up alot. I remember pork sausage spring rolls used to be 4.99 is now 7.99. I ordered 2 vietnamese special sandwiches which still far best vietnamese sandwiches then Houng Lan. 2x pork sausage spring rolls pack. It had been awhile that I forgot these spring rolls do not have noodles in it. I usually ask to add noodles in them. Eggrolls which .25 cents more then before. Vietnamese Ice coffee is delicious. My con & let down was the Saigon chicken wings & chicken curry. 5 pieces wings for 7.99 which it was salty and dry. There is not much I can add to that. The curry was the most disappointing and unusual curry I ever have in my life. The curry sauce was bland which was fine cause my toddler & baby can eat it. It was the vegetables that was disturbing to me. I can taste it was pre-cooked & frozen for awhile. What wrose about it. The potatoes was uncooked, stringy & gritty. Hard in center. Carrot was mushy & spongy BUT still hold the shape (which it was oddly weird that carrot could do that. Normally if you overcook a carrot or potatoes is will dissolve and be part of the curry sauce/soup base.) Also vegetable absorb curry favor & still taste like potatoes & carrot when simmer in curry for awhile. Sadly the carrots & potatoes lack in favor & didn't taste like anything. Chicken in the curry was super dry and there was only 3 to 4 pieces of tablespoon size pieces. I'm hoping they can recorrect the curry dish. Pre-cooked frozen veggies that either microwave or pre-boil again in water is a no no for me. Uncooked potatoes before frozen is also a must not do statement. Over-all it is still a decent vietnamese place in natomas area is still my number 1 vietnamese sandwiches to go. I be back again to try out their other dishes.

Super delicious!Very flavorful fresh food. I especially like their pho and my husband loves their pork banh mi sandwiches.Their drinks were a little sweet for me though.

Nice inside for dine-in, but more like a self-service, togo place. Need to order and pay up front, restroom is for employee only. My brother and I both ordered combination Pho but the meats were different, he has meat balls, mine does not. The meats were tough, over cooked. The broth was good and staff was nice at least.
