Amazing food! If you’re going with someone I recommend getting the garlic noodles, string beans, charglazed bokchoy, and sharing those between yourselves! Our server named Bella was absolutely amazing! They recommended to us some dishes and gave tips on the food such as sharing the garlic noodles because it will be a big enough portion for me and my friend!
Surprisingly enjoyed my date night here. I initially had hesitation trying this place due to fears of nonauthenticity; I've eaten a lot of good vietnamese food. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the food I got. In the spirit of ăn nhậu, which means food you eat while drinking alcohol, I loved the experience here. Where they really shine are their drinks. Jackfruit smoothie (spiked) was delicious. And the other drink was great as well. [And most importantly, presented well!! Given that the drinks around around $15 a pop]The tapas are okay. It's not the best vietnamese food I've had in my life but I was surprised to find a wide range menu like betal leaf beef (so good!!), garlic noodles (they were gracious enough to remake it without parmesan for me), and the classic spring roll. I'm excited to try the pho xlb next time and other fusion type foods. I think if you're looking to try new types of vietnamese food outside of pho, its a fun experience. My only gripe with food presentation was that a dish was presented with a big chip on it...which I don't think should be a thing at this price point. The service was amazing and the Midtown vibes are awesome here. Music is a little loud inside the restaurant but the fairy lights outside are nice.
Food: I got the pho bo nuong, which comes with pork short ribs. Delicious broth and everything cooked well. Also got the dynamite scallop portion is small, but it is delicious and can be turned into tapas.Garlic noodles are the best thing. Very tasty and garlicky, the noodles were nice and thick, very nice chewy texture.Tofu tacos are surprisingly good. I would like to order it but a very nice vegetarian option and delicious. Flavors were on there. The place itself is very nice and cozy. It gave like a nice chill and a relaxing vibe. The menu was simple and not too overpowering with many options. The service is very nice and respectful. They will check up on you to make sure you are fine and see if we are satisfied with the food.Parking: I went at night, so it's a little okay to find parking. Definition try finding a parking garage, and it is free on weekends.
Wonderful cocktails, delicious food and chill vibes! Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner and drinks! Have never had anything on menu I didn't like!
I have NEVER been to a Vietnamese restaurant where they don't give you Thai basil, bean sprouts, or limes for your phở -until this place!! I am still flabbergasted by it. This place is very bougie and definitely not authentic Vietnamese food (which I was hoping for.) I also saw a lot of people posting about their happy hour but there wasn't one when I went there during those times. Their gimmick is that they pour the broth into your bowl table side. But that doesn't matter to me if your broth tastes basic af and you don't give the proper accoutrement and garnishes for phở. It tasted so basic with just noodles and broth. Where's the crunch or herbacious flavor of the basil, nowhere! What's worse is that my friend ordered a mixed drink and they put Thai basil in it as a garnish! How are you going to put Thai basil in a cocktail and not phở?!! So yeah if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food this is not it. I'm trying the Sit Lo spot two doors down next time.
The food options were great and had details to see what exactly came on the food. There was good service; they brought water immediately as well as took our order and brought the food out within minutes and it was fresh and hot! I was very surprised at how well everything tasted and the portion sizes were perfect for the pricing.
My niece wanted to get food after her soccer game and as usual, we got pho. She wanted to come to this place, and I gotta say it's wonderful. The service is great; super friendly staff! Our server was lovely and had great recommendations. Spoiler Alert!!⚠️ :When you get the noodles&broth they pour the broth for you at the table. It was a fun little surprise! It's also in a great location, bunch of shops around and within walking distance from a lot of places. Next time you're in downtown looking for a cute new place to try, give Saigon Alley a shot!
This is one of the best restaurants in Sacramento. Especially for a date night. They offer so many different small plates that you could eat here 2 or 3 times and not try everything.I highly recommend coming during happy hour or on Sunday (all day happy hour) to really try all their food. It is delicious and the bartenders are above and beyond as well.
This is a great spot. Cool vibe, indoor and outdoor seating.Happy hour pricing on drinks and apps - usually all or none in your group. You need to order a paid drink to get the food discount pricing, sometimes we get it sometimes not - either way prices are fair.Food is always delicious and flavorful. Pho is a bit salty, but so tasty.Drinks - wine, beer and craft cocktails.Staff is always nice and friendly and know their dishes.Great for groups or date night.
Our group came to Saigon Alley for a quick bite before heading to see Hamilton down the street. The atmosphere and decor was really cool and had a fun crowd. However, the service was really slow that early evening. We had to wave down the waiters and waitresses nearly 5 or 6 times to get our order. Even after 2 hours, we didn't get our full order and started canceling items because we had to leave. The staff was really nice to us though. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the bbq pork chops. Just wished half our experience didn't include flagging down staff, while half our table was eating and half didn't have food.
