I enjoy the food here. It’s so good! I normally get the chicken, the works with cheddar sauce, and the seasoned fries! So good!
First time here ever, after reading many positive reviews. Ordered the Philadelphia Cheesesteak sandwich and fries. They were both 5 star! I will definitely be returning to either get more or try my other favorite, pastrami sandwich! Very good customer service as well!
This is one of those spots I didn't think much of and keep going back because of the food quality. The fries and cheesecake's are incredible. If you don't know what to get, try a large with onion and provolone. It's always a safe bet.
Good food but just wish it wasn’t so pricey. Pay $12 for the small cheesesteak and then add some fries and that’s over $15 for one person and no drink included. Which is fine but some of the staff(or owners I’m assuming) can have an attitude if you ask them for anything on the side or extra even if you offer to pay which is just bad customer service. I’d understand if it was a cheap place but the price they ask compared to the service isn’t the best ratio. But I come by whenever I don’t want to go to bruchis to fix that cheesesteak itch.
Really good cheesesteaks and fries. Fast service, definitely recommend.
I seek out and try Cheesesteak venues at every opportunity. This one consistently remains what I judge other Cheesesteaks against. And the fries! The fries are thin, crispy and always fresh - a fave of the entire family. Family run, great service. Location is sometimes a bit sketchy with the liquor store next door, but the food helps to dismiss and reframe that.
Being from Philly, I almost want to work here part time. So far this place has what it takes for an awesome cheesesteak. I ordered a cheesesteak with provolone and fried onions on an Amoroso roll. They delivered. To get the fifth star, they could chop, even dice, the onions smaller. This would help cook the onions quicker and softer. The beef could also do with some more chopping. This will help fill the bread at the bottom as the sandwich was served with the meat near the top (opening) of the sandwich. The fries, not so good. Thin, overcooked, greasy. If they were homemade fries, oh easily five stars. Steak fries even.Overall good job. Worth a try. And please stop ordering "yellow liquid cheese", that stuff is trifln'.
Like most reviews, I've been coming here for years!! At least the past 18 years or so, although i don't make it out here as often as I used too. Very consistent food, I've never been disappointed with my meals here... May not be exactly Philly style as some might say but this place kills all the other cheese steak places I've tried in the sac area. Portions have gotten smaller over the years (use to get the small cheesesteak and be full, now I have to get the large) and prices have gone up, but you pay for the quality in my opinion. A must have when in the area!!
Great cheese steak!! Best one in town so far.
I’m on my way! I am a Philadelphia native. I asked about the bread. Lady said ,” we use one kind,Amorosos”. I’m giddy inside. Let you know the truth in 30 minutes. Ok,I made it. Cheesesteak did not disappoint. Lady called me five minutes ago to see if I was coming. I said five minutes (place further than I realized, remember I am a Philadelphia native). The fries are hard and cold. I thought she would have been kind enough to give me fresh fries. Not the case.
