Getting a good Philly cheese steak is like a endless quest for me, there are a lot of places in Sac where you can get one, most are pretty good, but its few and far between where you finish one and tell your self "that was awesome!"Somebody on reddit was asking for suggestions for a cheese steak, most of them were you standard locations, but Phat Jerry's was getting a lot of love on that thread, so the wife and I decided to take a lunch time trip down to watt ave to try one out.We decided to get the "hoagie" cheese steak we like a little bit of lettuce, tomato and mayo on our cheese stakes. After about 10 mins our food was ready and we went to where we were parked to check them out. These had so much meat, cheese, onions that we could tell it was going to be a challenge to eat these without making a mess. I wasn't expecting the lettuce and tomato's to just be sitting on top of it all but it didn't look like there was any other option to put it.After waiting a couple of mins for them to cool down enough to pick them up and start. I took my first bite... WOW!!! these were good, there are some peppers in there that have a little bit of a kick. not so hot where it takes away from the flavor, but still pretty hot. (boarderline for us) The bread was hot and soft, there was a ton of meat and cheese and we were stuffed after we were done. The onion rings were awesome also! I think my quest for a killer cheese steak is complete, I now know that if I want a killer cheese steak we are heading to Phat Jerry's!!!!

This place is sooo good. Just order already.Today I ordered the Vegetarian cheesesteak. The pics they have on the website don’t do it justice. I had to check twice to make sure they didn’t give me a regular cheesesteak, that’s how good it looked and tasted.I’m not a vegetarian. In fact, six days ago I had an original Philly cheesesteak from Gino’s when I was in Philly last week. And I’ve had a cheesesteak my first time coming here. That’s why I came back never thinking I’d enjoy the vegetarian version just as much! (The onion rings are fantastic as well.)Whatever you order will be delicious.

I ordered a 15" chicken with spinach & mushroom in person about an hour before closing and was told after paying that they were out of mushrooms. I wasn't happy but said ok expecting that they'd perhaps load up on the veges' at least; they didn't, no extra veges' or meat, it felt so light, I knew I was in trouble when he handed it to me. And NO meat/veges' on the end 1" of the bun. Taste was also lacking, they used to be more flavorful. Hubby and I were so disappointed and we won't be going back.

I alway go to the little plaza for Starbucks and wanted to try Phat Jerry’s Phillies forever! So finally when I remembered to stop in I did an online order the first time and walk up the second. The pictures are from my second trip. Thier pretty quick but the food is made when you order so it’s a short wait time. I order the Super Philly is so much meat and cheese and the price is really good !! $10.50 The service is friendly and genuine. Something thats missing from many restaurants.I can’t wait to try the garlic Super Philliy. They also have some other yummy looking options and the garlic fries are definitely on hit!!!Don’t skip this place order online or walk up. It has a nice vibe?

I drove 20 minutes out of closer restaurants in my area to try this place out after reading reviews. I pulled up to the parking lot and the employee at the window closed their order window and put up their closed sign. I called them and asked if I had to order online instead of doing walk-up take-out order. The employee on the phone said that it didn’t matter how I wanted to place my order because they had decided to close early so they would not take my order. To the owner of this place, please make sure you are more mindful of your business hours. I can’t see myself ever going out of my way again to eat at your establishment.

Great place, easy to find just off the Watt exit on 80.The cheese steaks where so good. Garlic fries were amazing, but needed salt.Highly recommended!

9am January 12, 2022. A man, who i am assuming is the owner, is very rude, cursing about how because Starbucks can't stay staffed he has to suffer a line in the parking lot. There was a line and he couldn't get his very large truck and towing what I assume is a traveling restaurant, which even without cars is way too big for this parking lot. And while I agree its an inconvenience, and he may be having a bad day, it just leaves a feeling that I never want to support his business. We are all dealing with the situation and just trying to make the best of it.

This was an awesome sandwich! I don't do reviews, but this sandwich was exceptional. Tasted so fresh. From the bread to the meat. The service was good as well

While visiting Sacramento for work, we’re always looking for the hole in the wall, locally owned, places to eat. This place is a Jem! The food was better than what we read and Jerry was there!!In the time it took us to get our orders, he has us smiling and laughing with him. Very authentic guy!! I will be coming back for sure next time with me and my crew!!

Been here multiple times, never a bad sandwich.
