It says in the Panera app and on Google Maps that they close at 9pm but they lock the doors by 8pm and ignore you when you're at the door. They don't even bother to give an explanation or post their new store hours on the door. Also 1 star because I've ordered pick up here a previous time and they lost my order so I had to wait for them to cook it.
i went today around 2.15.. it was not packed at all. Staff was just walking around. It took them 2-3 mins to notice that i was waiting to order. Staff was not welcoming at all. I ordered half avocado melt. waited like 10 mins for the food to be prepared. i was ok with waiting as long as the food is good. It was to go because i was in rush . Once i opened the package to eat in the car sandwich was COLD . like it was made prior, old sandwich. I really didn't like my experience at this location . They don't deserve not even 1 star ......
Love Panera! Have forgotten Starbucks!Love their warm bowl..being a veggie I can customize any...Just a suggestion : Add more vegetarian items like some more salads, sandwiches and some fries..pizza base I don't like...
I came to this Panera’s to meet an old end from Ethiopia. This a good place for such meetings. They never rush you. We shared coffee and chit chat in a 90-minute session. Place was uncrowded at 10 a.m.. Service was efficient. Server had positive attitude. Everything was positive including a spotless men’s room—with two toilets, one dedicated to handicapped. I am on their coffee sipping program. For $9 a month, I get unlimited self-serve coffee, good at most locations. They serve excellent brew. Panera offers a wide array of pastries and baked goods. I know their scones and bear claws are delicious. These, along with Panera's artisan breads, are baked in house before dawn. In the past 35 years, Panera has grown from a small cookie store into an enterprise with more than 2,000 bakery-cafes. Most are company owned and operated. I recommend this Sacramento location.
Fail. My visit to Panera Bread on Howe Ave.in Sacramento wasn’t the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant, but I thought it worthy of a comment and a review.I placed my order without specifying I wanted to eat in the the restaurant. Nothing was said about takeout. They used to give you a number to place on your table and bring the food to you when it was ready, but no longer. If I was expected to pick up my food when it was ready, I expected to hear my name called out or somehow be notified that my order was ready. My wife happened to notice our order packaged to-go sitting on the pick-up counter as she came back from the restroom. Apparently the restaurant was content to let the food sit on the counter all afternoon until someone claimed it. Surely, they don’t expect a customer to wait at the pick-up counter while the food is being prepared. The soup had cooled by that time, and the staff gladly replaced it. I asked for a bowl to put it in, but they had run out of clean bowls. I didn’t ask for a replacement for the hot sandwich but it had cooled, too.I don’t understand why the restaurant would rather replace an order instead of notifying a customer who is in the restaurant to pick it up when it’s ready, but they are free to run their restaurant as they please; just don’t raise your prices because your expenses are too high.Other minor annoyances:(1) There were no napkins available for customers to take. My wife had to get up and go to the counter to ask for napkins. Now I know to ask for them when I order.(2) The drink dispenser was clear on the opposite side of the restaurant from the order counter; they couldn’t have been further apart. Now, it’s only a few extra steps but wouldn’t you think they would be closer? Isn’t the first thing you do after you place your order is get your drink—even before you look for a table? If this is unintentional, it’s just poor design; if it’s intentional, why? It doesn’t make sense if they want you to have to walk past all the other stations first. To be fair, I suspect part of the problem is difficulty with staffing—having to use untrained and inexperienced workers. Still, it’s aggravating for the customer.Sorry for such a long post. I hope management actually reads these reviews and not just use them as a way for customers to vent their frustrations.
Food is good I had a tasty souffle would have been 5 stars but I ordered a large coffee and they try to give me the small one and I asked for it to be adjusted and they told me they don't sell large coffees but it was very obvious it was a large coffee on my receipt, got my large coffee just odd I had to get another employee to get my order
I understand that maybe they have had some theft at this location, but they should have a separate line for online orders if they are not going to put them out on the shelves for pickup. You shouldn’t have to wait behind people who are still deciding what to order when your food is on the counter getting cold. Every other Panera location I’ve been to makes this quick and easy.
Went to panera bread for lunch with my daughter...I had broccoli cheddar soup,turkey/bacon sandwich on sour dough, chips ,strawberry banana smoothie...she had mango smoothie, Mac cheese grilled cheese sandwich, and French onion soup..every thing was very good very reasonable price!!
I arrived at 4:13. There was a sign on the door that said due to staff shortages they will close at 6:00. I ordered soup. The woman at the counter told me that I would not be allowed to eat inside because it was after 4:00. The door sign says 6:00. The place was still busy, with several tables occupied with people eating, using laptops, & with friends. I was told that it was now 4:17 & if I wanted to sit I could sit outside (it's cold) but that despite others who will presumably be inside, warm at their tables for another 1 hr. & 43 minutes, I cannot sit to eat one bowl of soup. I felt unvalued as a customer at this & left rather than sit outside in the cold while others would be warm inside for another hour and 40 minutes. Do the ones who make these rules know that restaurants are a hospitality business? It hurts to be treated like a second tier customer.
Well some prices on the menu got cheaper. Mostly during this Omnicron out break I would not feel safe in this building with stagnat air, and hardly anyone wearing a mask. Lots of groups were meeting today. I realize people are starved for socialization, yet seems like everyones guard is lowered...and Omnicron will make many in that group sick. Also I didn't see more smell disinfectant.
