This is my favorite Old Soul, the manager and staff are fantastic. It is truly the Hallmark of a classic coffee house. Not only do they have excellent food and beverage options; including some vegan options, but this staff genuinely cares about its community.The manger Evan, even took the time to donate to the community and brainstorm some things we could bring up to the GM about having more community events and outreach, specifically with the homeless and disenfranchised.I love the culture from the staff to customers to even the art on the wall. I met the artist De Souza and the medium he uses is so unique! He told me he specifically chose more affordable pieces to place along with his thousands of dollars pieces, so that everyone can enjoy the beauty in their own home. ?
The Baristas are polite, but who trained them to make an iced americano with hot water? I’ve been here twice in the last week, and both times there were about 3 ice cubes in my room temp americano…
There carrot walnut muffins are good. Don't eat them all; save one for me!

Always a pleasant place to work or just chill out. Friendly staff, great drinks and food. Definitely a must-visit for anyone hanging out in the Oak Park area!
Okay. Not terrible not great. Not exactly the biggest portion sizes especially considering the prices and flavor was okay but nothing over the top delicious. Definitely felt like I was paying for the trendy aspect not the actual taste and quality of the food. Same prices as a restaurant but not being waited on so I feel like they were overpriced because usually I pay those prices for the service not me ordering on my own at a register and sitting down like at a cafe
Should offer masks. Also should be a place that is accepting of all people masks or not. Should be the first to stand up and protest unjust laws and regulations in the same spirit of the civil rights leaders who's faces it uses to sell coffee.
I definitely enjoyed the food and the beverage was decent. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with veggies ($9) and a tumeric latte ($5.75 + $0.50 for almond milk). The bread from the breakfast sandwich is a homemade English muffin and has an incredible soft texture. I’d buy just the bread if I could!! The turmeric latte wasn’t too sweet, which was good, but I prefer the co-op’s turmeric better. Overall, nice ambiance. Average staff, nice but little to no eye contact, and stylish interior. I’d come again!
Amazing food and drink. Brought my ma for lunch and it was my first time here. Spent about $25 for both me and my ma and that's as much as I expect to spend for two people somewhere. The breakfast sandwich was well made and the ingredients where amazing. Bread was soft and my ma had no trouble eating it except for its size (she took some of the egg out because it was a bit big for her to bite into but other than that she had only compliments to say about the meal and drink). I had the bacon and cheese biscuit and mandarin seasonal drink (at the recommendation of the staff) and I enjoyed them both. 10/10 would come again.
I had heard about Old Soul for years. I've known friends who've driven for miles to try their coffees from around the world and to dine in. The food is plated beautifully and the portions are healthy. My Friday morning visit was special. It was about 10:30 AM. My goal was to order a Mocha. That was it. Monica, who has quite a following, prepared my Mocha. I took one sip. My first reaction was to take another. Keep in mind the place is packed. I went to grab a lid so that I could walk outside and sit on the Old Soul patio. The station was out of lids. Monica is slammed. In as polite a voice as possible, I caught Monica's attention and reported that there were no large lids. Less than a minute passed and the lids were restocked. I asked her what she's best known for at Old Soul. Her response, a true classic, "I show up." About 10 sips of the Mocha, I was ready for Rehab. The outside patio is nice, perfect for vocal toddlers.
