Yes. Just yes. This is an amazing local favorite that you might not hear much about. If you’re looking for one of the hidden secrets of Sacramento and food, this is one of them for sure! I love this Mexican food. It’s easy to get to and you have loads of choices in food selection. My favorite is the chorizo breakfast burrito. You can’t go wrong with that. The staff is always so helpful, especially the owner. What a great place to check out. Also, be warned, this is a cash only establishment. Bring the money with you.
Small establishment but good food and service. I had the breakfast burrito with chorizo and it was amazing. I also had a cup of black drip coffee from a local brewer that was very good as well. The only issue I had was the cash only payment, that tripped me up but the staff was so kind and started my order while I walked 2 minutes to the closest ATM. I didn't get a chance to try the pastries but noticed people coming just for the bread cakes they have.
We have been loyal fans Nopalitos for over two decades. So, we were concerned when the original owners Rose and Dave announced their retirement in April 2022. However our breakfast this morning clearly demonstrated that the new owners are faithfully carrying out Rose and Dave's original recipes. (This should be no surprise as the new chef/owner worked side by side with Dave for 27 years.) The food was excellent as always, served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. If you've not been to Nopalitos, go. If you haven't been in a while, go back. You'll be glad you did!
Love this little spot!! I’ve only been twice and I love how it’s so cozy and inviting. The staff is super kind and welcoming and the food is filling and delicious!!
This place is worth every moment spent finding an ATM to grab some cash to pay with. The family is so kind and you can feel the love and care they put into their business with every bite.While I'm not by any means a vegetarian, i do appreciate well-thought-out vegetarian options cause sometimes you just need a whole bunch of veg! The Breakfast Burrito with Sauteed Vegetables is ridiculously good.Patronize this business. They will not disappoint.
Food was good and reasonably priced. We sat outside. There was a few heaters outside to keep us warm
The best I’ve had all year, without a doubt. I had a burrito, beef, beans, brown rice, cheese and pico de gallo wrapped up in a tortilla! ?

Southwestern Mexican food at its best!! All the entrees served at Nopalitos are delicious. My go to is the Tamale in a Bowl with Red Chile. There are other combinations that the owner will advise you about. Breakfast is outstanding ... lunch will leave you Happy.... good size portions. Get there early to get a table!! Don't forget to sample the fresh baked daily slices of cake and cookies. Best iced tea to complete the meal. I've dined at Nopalitos since 2007! They serve outstanding food. ???
