The sushi and sashimi were extremely fresh and well presented. Prices were good and staff was very helpful. This is my new favorite restaurant!
The foods was perfect I like it so much and the staff and everything looks clean and the prices reasonable ,the restaurant furniture need to be changed its old ,
Sushi is always on point! Inside needs some TLC but the fish is fresh, the chefs care for their craft and the rolls will blow you out of the water! 2nd time here and its even better than the first time we were here.
This place looks like it is struggling and I'm not surprised. The food wasn't bad but I won't be back. I came here on a weekday lunch and they barely have a lunch special. It's basically the same thing as dinner minus 90 cents. I ordered a Japanese mango cream soda costing $4.25 and it came in a plastic bottle. For that amount of money I was expecting it to at least be in a glass, I was hoping it was something specially made at the restaurant. The "rolls" consisted of 4 pieces each. Again I was expecting more here. Perhaps for the 90 cents more expensive bento box dinner you get something more impressive. I'll never know. Many of the booths had ripped seats and when the tables were cleaned a dirty rag was left behind for about 15 minutes. The food took awhile to come out and the service was slow despite the place being empty. I waited 15 minutes after receiving the bill for the waitress to pick up my credit card before getting up to take it to her instead. For a $22 lunch for one person in a beautiful area I really was expecting more.
My girlfriend's daughter wanted sushi for her birthday so we decided to go somewhere close to home. I remember going to this location when it was still Sumo Sushi. The place pretty much still looks the same but with a little better decor. The food is still good and the staff was friendly. We tried their shooter sampler it was good. My daughter threw a fit when we first entered but the staff didn't seem perturbed. Thank you. I would definitely come back they still have a lot of rolls I haven't tried
Amazingly good service. Around 5 minutes after arriving we had a waitress come up and ask what drinks we would like. She had a very charismatic character and checked up on us every few minutes to make sure we were doing fine and enjoying our food. The Quality of food and the Hospitality we received came together to create a welcoming experience and light atmosphere. The sushi itself was delicious especially the special rolls which are 50 PERCENT OFF. Talk about savings!!! Me and my friends will surely return here whenever we pass through Sacramento. 10/10 Recommend to everyone passing by or through Sacramento.
Picked up some sushi for my partner and I for lunch, they were a bit busy and the wait time was only 25 minutes. There was a comfortable seat to wait in :)All of the staff I interacted with were super friendly, good people.Sushi was really good and the pricing was reasonable!
First experience with Makisu. Ordered Baked Muscles with my to go order. Arrived home with food to find that the muscles were missing. Basically they stole $8 from me.
Sushi was ok. We only stopped by because my husband wanted to try the jalapeños bomb. The only thing I like was the bento box, teriyaki chicken with rice, salad, miso soup and mixed tempura. Service was good. Staff was friendly.
Excellent sushi. One of the best around and you can't beat the prices. Between here and Miyagi down the street, this place blows them out of the water at half the price. Everything on the menu is excellent! The staff are friendly and attentive. Absolutely great service!The only thing this place could use is a more upscale ambiance and decor. But the place is clean and spotless.
