I had to change my review. Precious review in parentheses. I order here all the time. Portions have been downsizing and prices rising. Latest Salt and Pepper fish had just 6 small pieces for $15.00. Dang!(Salt and Pepper everything!)
This is one of the great places to get some great food. I am a big fan of the wor wonton soup. They also have a large menu to play at any palate. Enjoy the pot stickers.
The service was great and the food was just great especially the shrimp and the chow mein and also the chicken foil wrap chicken and the prices were reasonable love the place and I will be back again
I only knocked one star off because it was slow, but I believe it was slow because there was only three people working, but again, it was Chinese New Years and there's covid going around, but the food there is delicious, I would recommend the foil wrapped chicken, it was honestly delicious. I don't remember how to spell the soup I had, but all I remember it that it was yummy and how full I was, there was a good balance of meat, vegetables, and dumplings. It was safe to say, after a cold night like tonight, that soup was just what I needed. ?
I ordered online but when I got there to pick my order up they had my whole order wrong and tried to make me take it anyway by saying that the cook was done for the day but people were still coming in to place orders so that was a LIE. 15 minutes later they fixed half of my order but left the other half WRONG and acted like I was WRONG for wanting exactly what I ordered so I had to wait 20 more minutes for them to finally fix my order the proper way but I gave them the option to just give me a refund because I didn't trust them to make my food by this point. Needless to say that I won't be ordering from them ever again
Went here just this past Saturday 1/29/22 to takeout a hot and spicy chicken combination plate and a regular plate of Szechuan Beef, total cost was like 30-32 after tax. I felt the portions were mostly fair for the price, but not particularly great compared to the other chinese restaurants in Sac County for the price.Restaurant: Noticeably old, but I liked the general design theme and it seemed fairly clean. Greeted nicely enough and got my food quick, ready within 20 minutes of placing the order ahead online. What really made me happy though is I requested everything extra spicy and they did seem to add extra peppers to everything, even the chow mein in the combination plate! While it wasn't that spicy anyways, I appreciate the effort to listen to requests, as a lot of places don't really do that well. Both dishes had pretty heavy breading, which isn't necessarily terrible. By the time we got home, the chicken and beef was fairly soggy though, but it was a 20-30 minute drive.~$13 The combination came with chow mein and an egg roll.Hot and Spicy chicken: Tender good texture meat. Slightly less sweet than the beef, stronger soy flavor, a bit spicier, little more subtle flavor, not as sour. Overall not really that spicy though.Chow mein: I think it came with chicken as the meat (also tender) and bean sprouts, cabbage, carrots, and peas. Pretty decent, also had the extra peppers I asked for and pretty standard/satisfactory.Egg roll w/ sweet/sour sauce: nothing special, not bad~$15 Szechuan Beef: The chinese takeout places around here don't seem to actually put any szechuan flavor in any of their "szechuan" dishes, and this place was no exception. The flavor was sweet sour soy, a little taste of bell pepper, seemed almost similar to "mongolian beef" dishes you get at take out places like panda. I liked it but again, didn't taste like szechuan and also heavily breaded. Meat was pretty soft but some pieces had some tendony bits I think.I wish, for the prices, all the dishes would come with more vegetables or more meat. Seemed to be a fair value though. I enjoyed the meal and didn't dislike any of the dishes.

Great food, large portions, safe space between customers. My new place for Chinese food!
Stopped in for an early lunch on a Tuesday. The clean, plain restaurant was not crowded but there were already about 12 diners seated before us. We were seated by a friendly, welcoming waitress, which is always gratefully appreciated, especially when it was obvious that English was not her first language. Our drink orders came very quickly along with complimentary Egg Flower Soup for each of us. It was delicious. I ordered Wor Wonton Soup, $12.95, which would have been more than enough for one person's lunch but I also wanted to try their version of Chicken Chow Mein w/ thin noodles, $10.95. My wife ordered their lunch special, Salt & Pepper Shrimp. It came with Veggie Fried Rice, a Pork Egg Roll and the daily soup, $11.95. Their Wor Wonton Soup, in addition to the wontons, included shrimp, BBQ pork, chicken, bok choy, broccoli, zucchini, carrots and scallions in a savory, clear soup stock. After salting to taste with soy sauce, it was fantastic. Wonton soup on steroids! The flavor of the Chicken Chow Mein w/ thin noodles was excellent but didn't include as many veggies as I've had at other Chinese restaurants. My wife allowed me to try her lunch and it was excellent as well. The veggie fried rice, with beer battered, deep fried green beans, was one of the best I've ever had. The shrimp was also beer battered and deep fried to perfection and the spicy hot was just right. One last word about the top-notch customer service at Lucky Wok. My wife's favorite restaurant is Chinese and so we frequent many Chinese Restaurants in Sacramento and in our travels. Many times we put up with gruff, unfriendly service because the food is good. At Lucky Wok you get good food AND friendly, attentive service. Thank you Lucky Wok.
Been going here for a decade, before becoming Lucky Wok. I don’t understand how many time you can mess up an order. You put pork on my food then don’t give me any shrimp after you remake the plate. Sorry J your staff has went down hill
