good food at a decent price

Was so nice to stop by, see Sophia, eat some great Steak Omelet. Will be back! Nice folks from the Ol Hood ❤️

My experience with Lil Joe's was poor to say the least. From jump things went wrong, I ordered coffee (@3:50 a cup and no refill was offered) and when I was given the half & half there was soured curdled chunks in their chrome vessel of cream. My friend ordered hash browns and was given gross burnt home fries instead so he informed the waitress who said she would fix the order. After shortly over ten minutes later she replaced the burnt fries with browns, however instead of re-firing the ticket his eggs, ham steak, and toast were left on the counter to get cold. So all of his order was cold except for the hash browns. The waitress wasn't apologetic in the least. I had to ask three times for a to go box before receiving it. We were not offered any type of resolve/discount not even an apology. I was charged $42 for the absolute worst meal we ate in Sacramento the entire twelve days we were there.

This place is soooooo good - it makes me want to move back here ❤️❤️ Great job to the beautiful waitresses , the excellent cook and the guy spinning the sign that got me in the door , best 15$ dollar breakfast I’ve had in 150 miles

New food but still great vibes. This restaurant watched my family grow. I'm glad it still here.

This place is an absolute gem. A whole vibe, really. I was floored at how good my chilaquiles were. Perfect over medium eggs. Great coffee, service, price, music. Can definitely see this becoming a regular weekend breakfast spot.

Terrible customer service. We sat at a booth for about 10 minutes, never waited on. I finally went up to the waitress and she said she never saw us yet she was the one who said sit anywhere when we first walked in. Then she said she was "not our server". Aside from her, there was no other server. She did, however, wait on the tables that came in after us almost immediately.

this place is back and better than ever. I still miss George but new owner John is really good people. chilaquiles were great

I felt like having a good breakfast burrito. It's been a while.I stopped by to check it out. I didn't want fast food but something more homemade.I ordered a big breakfast burrito and a salad for lunch. It was a really cool small cafe feel.I plopped on the stool at the counter. And you can see the cooks doing their thing. The owner was very involved with the order, and was helping out the server and cooks.I didn't see a burrito on the menu, but they were more than accommodating with making me a loaded burrito. It was delicious.Full of ingredients. And the veggies were cooked perfect. Not overcooked. Nice and tender. The burrito was nice and hotI'm eating the salad now. It's great as well. The chicken tastes great, like a roasted chicken pulledAnd with ham and cheese.Tons of protein in it.I would say. If they baked the ham..... Yeah it would kill.Ill definitely go again.Sun Feb 13I went again with the Fam.Hmm not as good as the weekday.I know they need a good cook in the kitchen. The sign in the window says so .Maybe in another life, I would love to step in that kitchen and help, but not now. Hopefully they can get a better cook in there. So I don't completely blame them for the sub par omelets.Just about everything with it was bad about itThe spinache and mushrooms got the eggs watery. No cheese....they use a lot of eggs, and they weren't overcooked, good amount of food , the cook just needs some training.the veggies were also cooked good .Also, I was watching the cook cooking scrambled eggs. They looked way to over cooked.So. When making omelette:You need to, seer your veggies, meat, everything first. And pat dry your watery veggies.spinache, mushrooms,.Have everything next to the pan.Quick scramble the eggs, add some salt.Pour the egg into the pan med heat.About half way cooked, you put the veggies and fillings on one side of the egg. With a touch of white cheese.Fold , throw cheddar cheese, blue cheese, ( tangy cheese) and ,touch of seasoning, cover for a minute * take the pan off the heat through out the cooking process*Eggs are very delicate*. Get the stuff on the plate, then Lift the lid.bam. Omelette , and toss the cold stuff on top,Also the coffee isn't good at all.I didn't say anything since they have the best customer service.Scramble eggs also need care.:Don't over mix, just pour into the pan and stir, the entire time.It involves removing from the heat and returning it over and over. You heat, stir, remove and watch them to see if they are ready, they keep cooking even you remove the pan so DON'T completely cook them in the pan.Remove them from the heat when they are almost done.*Any kind of cheese or meat, veggies, you add after the eggs are removed finally .This way, you get very creamy, and delicious eggs.I know I rambled, but I really want them to succeed. And cook amazing food. It would be fun to cook part time for them.

Excellent food, for a very reasonable price. It's a neighborhood restaurant that is welcoming and friendly to all of its customers. I never miss a chance to go there when I'm in Sacramento and I am never disappointed when I do.
