Our waitress was cool. My meal would of been sent back if I wasn't so hungry. I ordered the chciken marsala which was lacking marsala. The gravy was super dark, tomato based with a few mushrooms thrown in. The menu said vegetables but I just received a pieces of raw spinach with it. The chicken tasted and looked microwaved. Only one side of chicken was browned. It appeared it was thrown in a pan to brown one side with the sauce. It was very rubbery. The mashed potatoes were too light and airy as if water instead if cream was used. My hubby loved his burger. Although, I did not have a bite; I wished I would ordered it. The drink menu was sparse. Limited wines and beer. Our friends had the French dip which looked amazing. I will not come back. There are so many other options in Sacramento.

Admittedly I don't have any real experience with french dip, so I honestly wouldn't know any better, but when we asked our server what she recommended and the French dip was her response. There was no other choice. My two compatriots and I embarked on the challenge of the best French Dip in Sacramento.All levity aside, this sandwich was great. While I don't have a basis for comparison, I really enjoyed the cuts of prime rib and the crunch onion rings sandwiched between two pieces of sourdough. The mayo and Swiss cheese really tie it all together and it joined the clean plate club for me I can't comment on if it is truly the best, but being my first it wins by default! The fries were also really good quality but the sandwich was the star of the show.It was a pretty busy day but service was relatively quick and our server was really attentive. We were seated right next to the window and despite being really busy, it was too loud. Located within the Bank of America building the attached bathroom was clean and their is an Old Soul Cafe right across the building.Will definitely visit again for drinks and an early dinner!

Had their prime rib sandwich. It really was very good. Great bread, juicy, tender prime rib. Topped with melted cheese and crispy onion straws with horseradish mayo. Cute little French fries. Very tasty. Would recommend.
Seriously fresh seafood, the oysters are huge and the calamari was delicious. Great drinks and even better service!

We are regular customers at “House” and Chris and his amazing staff do what it takes to keep us coming back. They always greet us as friends. In addition, they order a variety of beer that I like and always have it available for me when we arrive. We normally visit before Sacramento Kings basketball games, which means we really didn’t see them during the height of the pandemic. When we finally made it back, it was like we never missed a meal. The food is always great tasting and a great value as well. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!
The food is excellent. Service can be a bit slow but the staff are friendly and helpful. My only issue is with their drinks. We got a bottle of their house cabernet and it was terrible, enough so that I looked it up online and saw that it was a $4.99 bottle of wine that was sold to us for $34 at the restaurant. Ouch. It makes me skeptical of other drink options they have. Otherwise though I will definitely come back for the food.
This place is a hidden gem! Great food! Great service! And amazing drinks! I’ve never been disappointed coming here. They are eager to please and work with you on any dietary issues and always serve with a smile. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
