Stopped in for lunch. Really nice patio to dine on but large indoor area as well. I had the burger and house cut fries. Excellent. Started with deviled eggs and they may have been the best I have ever had. Great service.
First off, it took 4-5 minutes for the hostess to acknowledge us at the entrance even though the restaurant was nearly empty. By the time she did 6 other people had come in behind us. And her attitude was not friendly at all, like we were bothering her. Our waiter, however, was great. At first. Very friendly and helpful. But both the service and the food went downhill from there. My wife ordered the tacos, with sautéed veggies as an option to meat. But thatâs all that
The food might have been good at this place if it hadn't taken two hours to get and had it been served hot. I understand after covid its been hard to get employees, and I could understand if the place was packed, but it wasn't. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks refilled. There were maybe 2-3 other tables of people. Employees appeared to be standing around. When my food finally came, the pork chop was way overdone and all of it was cold. You could tell the mashed potatoes had been sitting for a while. I was really disappointed in the whole experience especially since the place had such great atmosphere.
Food would’ve been all right but the kitchen really needs to tone down the salt levels. Our waitress was honestly kind of a brat, which was weird but things turned out all right anyway. I’d come back hoping for a slightly better experience, as the place was nice, roomy, and well priced for a larger business dinner.
The worst service I have ever received. Asked twice for straws-had to finally get up and get my own, when waitress brought our food she was never seen again. I had to flag someone else down to finally get my check. They were not even busy so they can't use that as an excuse. this was my first and last time at this restaurant.
Food is excellent! Service was great. I loved the atmosphere.
Big and spacious for being in old Sac. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Great place to take a date or the family.
Terrible food, a few of our meals came out cold and very bland, the waitress was nice but the service wasn't the best. The location was nice, but the food was way overpriced.

Have eaten at Hoppy's at least twenty times over the past two years and have never been disappointed. Have introduced family and friends and they have all raved about the food and service. I appreciate the fact the kitchen is open to be able to see meals prepared for service. Kitchen is excellent and consistent as is the service. Staff is friendly, accommodating and efficient.
