This is always the place I choose to go when I want dim sum and I have never been disappointed!

We have Seafood chaomian, yellow custard bun, shaorong bao, shrimp dumpling, fried shrimp ball and pork dumpling. Fried shrimp ball is the most tasty. The others are pretty okay. I wish they use some fresh seafood for the chaomain though. Dumpling seafoods are pretty okay.

Going Kong House is among the best Dim Sum in Sacramento. They have the type of tea my wife prefers and a wide variety of dishes. They are pretty traditional so Dim Sum starts closing down around 1 PM. We often go to church first, so we are always against the clock for Sunday afternoon tea, but our tradition is our own.I wanted to see dessert carts with sesame balls and dao fu faa. No options left by the end of our meal. Go place but mediocre by Hong Xong standards because the skins were thick & overly sticky on the ha gao and similar dishes.

Very good, highly recommend. Worth the drive!

These are two dishes from this restaurant. And they made a mistake again. Instead of using pig rib, they used beef rib which I was told not to eat as a cancer patient. Also, this is garlic flavor, not the Salt and Pepper one I ordered. I can only eat the other dish: Salted fish, chicken and eggplant. I finished the dish and only got two pieces of the salted fish. So disappointed. And more, the restaurant and the DoorDash driver refused to pickup my calls.

Well I really like the food but take away one star for their customer service. Me and my husband ordered a lots of food already, and those ladies just keep asking us if we can order more. Can’t you see… I really have way too many food for two people. Will give another try to see how to rate them but I would recommend for food if you want to eat here but definitely not the service

Sat with a group of friends and had a wonderful dim sum meal. Even though there were some items that weren't available due to supply shortages and delayed delivery the ladies with the dim sum carts tried to be as accommodating as they can. Most of the time they know which co worker is pushing which dim sum cart and will communicate with each other to bring your item to your table. This only works if you are patient and understanding as it normal for them to forget since there is so much on demand attention. If you are really patient, we waited 15 mins for a fresh batch of sum mai which was wonderful. Support local business and enjoy one of the better dim sum place in Sacramento.

Friday, 1/21/2022 - Went to Hong Kong Islander restaurant tonight for dinner. This is at 5675 Freeport Blvd in Sacramento, right across the street from the police station. About half a block (same side of street) down from the restaurant at the corner of Freeport and Fruitridge is Tug Boat Fish and Chips. So if you see this at the red light, you are going the right way. Due to COVID, there's is no dim sum rolling carts. You order the dishes you want and they bring the foods to you. At least there wasn't when we went for dinner. I was told there is dim sum during lunch by one of my friend. But there is inside seating.Upon arrival:Pros1) plenty of parking.2) restaurant is situated between some nice palm trees.3) as you walk in, there's someone at the front to greet you. We let them know and they directed us to our section of tables. Very professional and nice gentleman.4) Foods were already ordered and on the table when we arrived. The battered, fried fish was good. The steam yellow chicken was good. But the ginger sauce that goes with the yellow chicken was VERY salty. I felt like I was swallowing salt. The rest of our dishes were good.5) tea was good. Water good. It didn't have that metal taste.6) silverwares, chopsticks, cups, plates, tea cups amd tables all clean. Tables were nicely set up.7) service good. They did check on us several times. They brought to us anything we were missing or needed. Very attentive. Soft spoken. Very nice. I met Gavin, the co owner, and he was very nice.8) women's bathroom has 3 stall. Kinda dark. But clean.9) we reordered the fried tofu with no sauce or salt on it, and they gladly made it.10) they provided to-go containers along with a bag for us .11) they allowed us to sit and mingle after we ate. They didn't rush us out or give us the stink eye for staying too long. LolCons1) ginger sauce that goes with the steam yellow chicken was extremely salty. I mean extremely. We asked to see if they can add a little more ginger to it. They did with no hesitation. So sweet.ConclusionI liked this restaurant. Nice servers and clean. They were attentive and didn't hesitate to give us what we needed, wanted, or was missing. Foods were all okay. I'd go here again. We had a good experience. Try it if you haven't. Your experience may differ from ours.

Food quality is good but it is overpriced compare to other dim sum restaurants in the area.

First time dinning here. Nice place we will be back .Friendly, great menu, live fish and lobster tank. We had pot stickers, and moo shu pork. Large restaurant with banquet rooms. Good food.
