Great tacos and beers before, then great live music in the next room. Can't beat that.

Yummy food, good portions. I felt a little bad for the bartender being the only one on the floor. I don't think they were prepared for crowds from the graduation that was at the Memorial Auditorium today.

I went here for a concert. It seemed very small but ended up being great! I was also concerned about parking because I don't live around there but there are plenty of parking lots. I think most cost $20. We didn't get any food or drinks while there.

Not just country westernSaw some funk on a week nightQuick bar service & food on a live music night

Okay first the good: probably the best chicken and waffles I've had and I've had every Chicken and waffles in town. The service and the staff were outstanding. The Bad: the decibel readings during the audio of the rock show where CRIMINAL! I'M SURE EVERYBODY INCLUDING THE CHILDREN HAVE HEARING DAMAGE. Even the touring band (Sponge) that has been on national radio for 30 years told the sound guy it was too loud during soundcheck, and the sound guy, politely and professionally, said he's been doing this here for years and to trust him.The sound engineer was incredibly polite, I have nothing personal against him, but I would never allow anyone I care for to be exposed to permanent hearing damage.I myself have been playing music in rock bands since 1997, I have no such complaints for the sound engineers at Goldfields in Roseville, Ace of spades, Powerhouse Pub, old iron sides, G Street Pub in Davis, on the Y, Louie's, you name it. The only other place that came close to being this excessive was Holy Diver. I used to think that place was too loud but Sacramento Goldfields is out of control.Nothing personal to any of the staff, they have excellent service and amazing food but if you plan on attending a musical event, for your own safety and for the safety of those you love PLEASE BRING HEARING PROTECTION WITH YOU.

Seeing bands you love in small venues like this is a blast! No bad views, great sound, easy to get to, decent bartenders. A great spot to catch a show, I would happily return.

Great drinks good time friendly vibe nice staff. I came from out of town they treated me like a local definitely will go again

Great overall experience, only complaint the place is small for a music venue. But food and drinks are great.

My wife and I went to a show here recently (Dec. 2021). We immediately felt bad bc the lone bartender was getting crushed by a Santa pub crawl lol. The door person let us in and we chilled out until the show room opened. Once the bartender got his back up - they were rockin on all cylinders. The show room was a fantastic place to watch an acoustic show. The ONLY issue many of us had was younger patrons awaiting the country DJ after the acoustic set was incredibly rude and heckled the performer quite a bit. It would have been nice if the security or other employees moved them from the area bc It made for a real uneasy and unpleasant experience. I respect GTP for being inclusive of different music styles but they need to be mindful of making sure all are taken care of (i.e. not allow people to be in the area without a ticket or wait until the performer is done)

This place is a great venue to catch music. The band i was there to see was excellent. Sound was perfect which is hard in a place like that. I'm not sure they can actually fix this next issue but mobility was a nighmare between the showroom and the only open bar & only exit. It seems that they could take out a booth or two to allow for better foot traffic from one area to the other or at least monitor that people arent just standing in the isle. It felt like they were short handed for security and bartenders/barbacks. The bar was three people deep along the entire bar and only one bartender (who was excellent). Later on they added another bartender but it seems like there should be a constant system to have two bartenders and one bar back at all times on a busy night. Aside from that, their Satellite bar on the other side of the building took about two hours to start up. Probably just working out the kinks after being closed for a year. So I still gave 4 stars!
