Great service! Delicious vegan flat bread platter, great beer.Update: Been coming here for years now. Vegan margarita pizza, cooked in their legit oven, is top notch. I can't get anything like it anywhere. Also this spot is a great place for dogs to come and hang out. Half of the people who come and hang out outside have a dog.Since I started coming here I also saw Hamilton the Musical. +1 star for that. 6 stars total
This place used to be so good, so much so that I raved about for years. I don’t usually write reviews - but I just hope the owners read this and know that the decline in quality is obvious to at least a handful of orig customers. I understand that food costs are high but it’s not that hard to make a wood fired pizza taste amazing - just good dough, a strong bake and a few quality and flavorful ingredients. All the pizzas we got today had almost baked crusts, bland toppings (sunday sauce tasted like something from a bad spaghetti feed), and poor presentation. Where’s the kale salad? The carnitas? The Italian sausage? People miss all of those. Really bummed to see this place drop off. Won’t be going back or recommending it anymore.
Blink and you will miss it as you're driving down the alleyway where Federalist Public House are located. Doesn't seem like much on the outside, but once you step into the doorway of the blue container out front, and you're quickly greeted with a large covered dining area with additional space in the back that is more or less covered. The wood fired oven is only a few steps away and they aren't hiding the fact that it is wood fired with all the wood they have at the ready to keep the fire stoked. You know the food is good when no one at the table is talking, and boy were these pizzas amazing. For those that like a beer with their meal, they have a decent selection of beers on tap. They also have a Happy Hour from 2-5, where pizzas are $30 for 2 and large beers for $10.Overall, a great place to hang out and enjoy several slices of (or a whole) wood fired pizza.
Bravo Bridgette and Marvin! The pizza, service, and ambiance were delightful. The crust on the wood fired pizza was chewy (just how I like it) and super tasty. Our order: Southside, Capitol, Stanford, and Garfield plus the Nuova Caprese and arugula salad. Verdict? I’d order all of them again! P.S. The nuova’s sauce was zesty and perfect for dipping the pizza crust.
Love the food, service and atmosphere. Fresh local ice cold beer on tap, wood fired pizza.
Excellent food and service! Visited last night - extremely busy - but the team was efficient and friendly, handled it extremely well! Worth the wait, and the pizza and beer were both delicious.
One of my favorite places in midtown - no matter the weather their food and drinks always hit the spot. Their pizza is incredible and the drinks are a perfect pair.
Great pizza. Wife especially loves the vegan options. They tend to run out of appetizers as the night goes on, so order early!
Love this place, get a nice cold one and some great wood fired pizza and relax in a sea of well built and tastefully put together metal shipping containers. Used to have a bocce ball court but they needed some more square feet for tables. The remains of the court can still be seen, rest in peace bocce ball court rest in peace.
Slow service, always seems to be understaffed, mediocre food, unfriendly staff, high prices considering you have to walk up to a counter and order. They need secure/visible bike parking.
