The food was excellent. I am not sure if it was the wait staff or the kitchen that was slow. It took a very long time to receive our food.
Definitely in my top 5 fine dining restaurants in Sacramento
Lobster was featured that night and each item we ordered was delicious!
Ella is a fantastic place in Sacramento for food, ambiance and decor. It is great for business, dates, special occasions and events. The food is consistently good with an inventive mix of regular favorites and rotating themed swaps. On our most recent visit during Lobster Month, we sampled a few of the items from the special menu including Lobster Bisque and the Chilled Lobster with drawn butter. Both were done well. We also had the Wagyu beef dishes and although tasty, were over salted. One surprising fail was that we ordered our items to share at the table, but those items were not prepped for sharing before table service, leaving that to us. For the caliber of restaurant, the items like salad, appetizers, should have been chopped and or portioned for the parties at the table. Otherwise, delicious as usual!
While we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience, we paid for it. It's only our second visit and while we will likely return and we recommend the place, it's not a go-to for us due to their price/value ratio.
Top Notch!
Excellent food from a creative chef. Fresh, in season food is featured.
Service and food were outstanding!
We were fortunate enough to be able to visit during their lobster month. I had the lobster Mac n cheese and it was wonderfully rich. The service at Ella is excellent too. Our waiter was attentive and personable.
Service, wine and Caesar salad were great. Main course was very over priced for size and flavor. Potatoes were the same as any other restaurant. Certainly nothing special. Dessert menu lacking anything chocolate. Too limited on desserts.
