Wow it's been 20 yrs. Since my dad passed. We no longer have Luis's which I'm sry I grew up with and loved. So we go for some authentic mexican. We had crispy beef tacos, cheese enchiladas. And 3 enchilads beef. Chicken and cheese. It was just awful. Tortillas were store bought and extra charge, sauce and salsa for chips tasted like out of a jar or can. Beans were good.Waiter was surly felt not one smile beneath that mask.(I saw the black girl's comment) We are white if that helps) Service was fast. Ambiance is great but I was just really cravin some good authentic mexican. We won't be back.left most of our food on the plate. $79.00 for 3 of us.
Food was great but their customer service was trash. Don't wanna be "one of those type of black ppl" but I noticed everyone around me being served by others had pleasant experiences. I was not greeted properly, I was not asked if I wanted anything to drink other than water and I was only given 5 minutes to look at the menu and when I asked for more time as this was my first time there I was told "a few more minutes". Did I mention I was the only African American in the establishment ? anyways, very disappointed because what was supposed to be a evening of fun laughter and good food ended up being a hurry up eat your food and leave because you're not welcomed here situation and all for $105.57
Food was amazing and staff were fantastic. So friendly and lively. Food was exactly as I asked and accommodations were met perfectly. Would recommend to anyone with a big appetite and looking for a welcoming environment.
The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. I would come back here. The inside looks different and I would take guests here.
Would never recommend this place. Supposed to be best in Sacramento but it wasn’t even edible. 58 dollar lunch for two and ate less than 3 bites. Stay away for sure! This is how we left the table, full plates
Back after 15 years! We have had so many memories in this restaurant. The food is still delicious and the service courteous and attentive. Thank you El Novilleros for maintaining excellent quality food and service
Went in the first time. Got home and my order was wrong. They were closed by the time I got home. I tried to call many times for a whole week and could not get through. (They don't answer their phones) By the time I could get back over there I had to deal with this person who was extremely rude and had the nerve to ask me for a picture of my wrong order!! For some reason I had actually taken a picture of it. She never apologized and continued with a very unfriendly demeanor. When I went to ask another girl about talking to a manager I found out that not only was she the manager, but she was the owner's daughter. Her name is Angel and she should not be dealing with customers. She should be working in the back of the house. I get the impression she does not like her job much. Needless to say, I will never go back to this place.
The food was so good. Customer service could've been a little better. But the food was good
Omg I had crispy carnitas taco and cheese enchilada plate soo good great service my waiter was perfect and my blended margarita with lime excellent clean and a great atmosphere best service thank you
Honestly, the only nice thing about this place is the restaurant it self. You enter and is like walking through a maze, so that was fun. You are allowed to take pictures upstairs and that was great. But the taste, quality and price of their food didn't live up to our expectations.
