El Forastero makes the best tacos I have ever had. Their service is excellent with the friendliest people working there.It does not matter what time of day or night I pick up orders, they are always very quick and nice.If you honestly want good food, go to El Forastero.
I live around the corner. The deliciousness of the food seems to depend on who's working that day because I've received some wild variations in the food. Sometimes the refried beans are thick & creamy, other times they're like water. The carnitas quesadillas are amazing, though I have received bone in them a few times, so be careful when you're chewing. (I didn't mind, because it shows authentic cooking & prep)
The service was above average however the food was just adequate.
I never give a five star but in this case I will. "El Forastero has got the heaviest, Tastiest,meatiest burritos in town and at a fair price price. I drove across town today to purchase what I consider the best burritos around chili Verde/chili Colorado burrito. Only $8.35 cents after tax?. Im not joking? This is the best drive-through Mexican restaurant in town?.
We bought a burrito for one of my passengers on the go. I'm not sure how the food was, but I can tell you their outside bathrooms are surprisingly clean! I needed to go late night and the guy at the window was nice enough to lend me the key. Thank you again!
The food tastes good. It reminded me of getting Mexican food in Los Angeles, where you can get a real burrito and not a California burrito filled with too much beans and rice. They might have changed the recipe recently however. Ony last visit the burrito was half beans and rice instead of all meat. Still tasty, but disappointed it was changed.
I used to LOVE this place, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. I'm pretty health-conscious and always felt like it's the only fast food place that serves real, simple, and good food. Very convenient when I don't have time to cook my own rice and beans, and it makes a great breakfast meal. I'm vegan, so I always ordered a whole bean and rice burrito. It was SO good even by itself, but the last 4 times I went there, there was a really weird, chemical-like flavor to the rice. It tastes how disinfectant/sanitizer smells. I don't know what's going on with that, but I decided it's not safe to eat anymore, especially since I'm pregnant. I gave it a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chance, and finally decided I'm not going to keep gambling my money on the chance that it's gonna be better next time. It's really too bad. I hope the owner/manager sees this comment and does some quality control/investigates what's causing the strange flavor. Occasionally, the beans are WAY too salty too...to the point it burns my lips, tenderizes my tongue, and makes it impossible to eat. Lastly, it's really concerning that styrofoam containers and cups are used. It literally never breaks down in the environment and leaches into food/drink that sits in it, causing reproductive harm to men and women. I know it's cheap, but it seems like after all this time of the public being aware of the harms of it, that businesses wouldn't be using it anymore. It really makes it seem like the owners are putting cost-saving and profit over the health of the community and the environment, which is not okay. Business owners and managers have a responsibility to the people and communities they serve. PLEASE address these things, if not for us, for the long-term success of your business. I'm someone who would be a loyal customer if it weren't for what, in my eyes, are huge issues. You're missing out on a lot of money from me alone.
Ordered a chili verde burrito online and it was ready to go within 10 minutes. Chile verde is my favorite but it has to be good and the chili verde burrito here was pretty damn good... They're open 24 hours which is also a plus
This place is always delicious, and especially today when I needed a soup so bad they're Birria soup is amazing the service is amazing the restaurant is clean absolutely great
Found a long, disgusting hair in the cheese of my breakfast burrito about 10 minutes ago. I’m absolutely disgusted. I couldn’t pull it out, regardless, I couldn’t eat it after that.
