The place smells bad, like no ventilation and bad oil for cooking. But I tried it. I ordered Beijing noodles. To go. Got down the road and it smelled bad. Opened up food, and the noodles looked good, but the topping looked like vomited dog food that was burnt. Whatever it was it had cooked and burnt a long time. I did not eat it, altho a homeless man, who hadn't ate for awhile did like the noodles.
Me and my son went here for lunch today I ordered for myself because my son had already eaten so I ordered vegetable egg rolls, steamed rice, general chicken and hot tea. The sauce for the egg rolls was watered down, the chicken was tasty and the rice was good, the hot tea was cold. The bill for my lunch was $30.64, way more than I expected for lunch. For a fast food joint they should not be charging high prices and quit adding water to the sauce and when someone orders hot tea make sure it’s hot. I would never go back to this place.
The worst pork xiao long bao I have ever eaten, barely any soup and was slightly cold inside. Got the pork and chive potstickers too and they were not very good as well. The potstickers made my fridge smell so bad I had to throw them away in the morning. Taro tea was pretty good, paid $34 for everything, won't be back. If you have had dumplings before don't eat here because you will be disappointed.
The dumplings were phenomenal. The pork vegetable dumplings dipping sauce is a mix of flavors: tangy, salty and sweet. The sweet'n'sour sauce is tangy from the vinegar and it tastes how it all should. The dandan noodles were incredible and definitely a must. We ordered Xiao long Bao, pork and vegetable dumplings, cream cheese wontons and dandan noodles for $45, which was a lot of food. We were excited and actually wanted to try more but held back. It was even better than I could have hoped for. Definitely give it a try, I'm getting some for dinner as well ?
A random find on yelp on a brief trip to Sac. This place did not disappoint! So wonderful, and yummy! And super friendly staff! Definitely 5 out of 5!
Not my favorite dumpling place. Food tasted a bit stale, and the restaurant vibe is hole-in-the-wall-y (and not in the cool, hip way). Not much to say about customer service, kept hearing staff argue in the back. Ordered shrimp + pork bao, beef dumplings, and Dan Dan noodles, and disliked all of them. Maybe there are better menu items that we missed out on? Eh, don't think I'll come back.
The food was ok at best. Very expensive though. My mom and I ended up going here because the original restaurant we planned on going to wasn't open. The people were nice and we got our food quickly after paying. Would I go back to this place? No. The quality of the food didn't match with the price.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Dumpling House. My partner and I were wanting to try this place since moving here and this place was a short walk from our new place. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff amazing, and the service quick. We were given a wait time of approximately 15 minutes, but about five minutes later, our food came out. The staff was extremely hard working and courteous -- I've never seen the level of work put into customer service as the staff here. The prices were typical for that for dumplings. I would 100% recommend to anyone who wants high quality food with stellar service.
Pricey and the taste is just okay.... if you come from a culture eating dumplings, you might not be satisfied here. Their dumplings are all made by machine which is interesting, but the taste cannot even be compared to your home-made dumplings... The service and attitude are great though.
Get the pork soup dumplings xiao long bao it is some of the best dumplings! They were sp friendly and nice and there wasn't a bad thing we got! Just ask the owners what they recommend because everything is great!
