This restaurant is in a small, modest strip mall so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and the place is clean and cute inside with lots of wood and Jamaican colors. As a bonus, music was playing on a high quality sound system. At the time of this review, indoor dining is shut down due to COVID. The staff were very nice.I was able to try their curry and it was delicious! Not spicy but very flavorful. I am definitely interested in trying more of their authentic Jamaican dishes.
The restaurant lobby is clean. There's parking. The staff was fast and efficient. The menu didn't include prices so we had no idea how much it would be We had the oxtails,, curry goat, and a veggie and a Curry chicken pie. All of it was okay. We're selected large size and was a little disappointed with the amount of meat included. Perhaps large or small refers to the amount of rice and peas? Anyway, overall it was good. Next time I'll go my traditional way and get the jerk chicken. Then I'll know if this will by my regular spot for Jamaican food! ?
The peas&rice and the cabbage never ever have flavor. Whose cooking back there? They can't be black! The Vegan oxtails lets just say I ate em cuz i had to. But the jerk chicken is very good.
Jerk chicken! Best chicken I've ever had!! Oxtails we're delicious!! The food was amazing.As far as location it was a busy street, a lot going on. A different side of Sac lol
This was my first time trying Jamaican cuisine I was worried to order after reading the reviews. it was okay.. I ordered the large plate of vegan oxtail which looks like a large plate of rice lol the rice tasted like nothing but the cabbage was absolutely flavorful & the vegan oxtail was yummy. I understand why people would be upset about the portion sizes. There is more rice leftover than the main dish. I’m a rice lover so I was okay. 3 star rating for the overpriced deceiving portion & the bland rice. I still enjoyed this delicious vegan offering maybe next time I’ll try the vegan fish in the small box !
This family has s much experience with making amazing Jamaican food. They are a loving family that brings their cuisine to you, just as lovingly.
Just do yourself a favor and order the curry goat! Best you’ll ever have! It’s tender and full of flavor ?

Invited a friend out for lunch and they received burnt jerk chicken. We both had burnt plantains. Last time the jerk chicken was dry for me. Will not be returning.
