Found another fav coffee shop in Sac, love the Peruvian. It’s strong just how I like it. My daughter really liked the vanilla latte.

Visited for the first time on Saturday and it was truly refreshing. The coffee/ food tasted great, store was very clean, and the view/ store setup was incredible. I had an iced vanilla oat milk latte. Delicious! We'll be back for sure :)

Happy we found this place! Cappuccino, chai, avo toast - everything was delicious and staff were super friendly. They also sell a small selection of coffee gear. Somehow I left with an Acaia scale that put a larger than expected hole in my wallet...We'll be coming back for sure.

Excellent coffee

The coffee was so good. They know how to serve espresso.

To be honest wasn't entirely impressed. I wish there were more options and the drink I got was just kinda meh, tasted like any average coffee. Good spot if you're in a pinch though

Chocolate Fish is legitimately the best coffee you'll find in Sacramento. Not the overpowering, bitter and syrupy garbage we've become accustomed to. Legit, good coffee. Go there. Now.

Small vibrant coffee shop offering decent selections of coffee, pastry, and light food. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking behind the building and on the street. One drawback was the lack of comfortable seating space to sit for a long time and enjoy reading or doing work. Steady stream of customers coming in during the one hour or so Sunday morning i was there.

Ordered an espresso over ice only to be lectured about how “they don’t do that” and “it’d ruin the flavor profile of the coffee.” After arguing that I do this at home regularly and I actually prefer the strong, bitter outcome, I was told that “scientifically” it is an outrage. Meanwhile, I can stop by Temple and get an espresso over ice without the lecture or pretentious attitude.I would’ve expected this kind of behavior if I went to an espresso bar in Italy, but not at the local Chocolate fish. My palette is not so refined that I am partial to the subtle notes of sweetness to bitterness ratios. I don’t read the bean labels which state, “hints of pomegranate, nut, and caramel” thinking, “geeee I sure do love my hints of pomegranate.” No, I merely just want a shot of decent espresso in a way that I particularly like it. If Jessica can order her americano with 3 packets of sugar and a pump of heavy whipping cream, then I see no harm in merely throwing an espresso shot into ice. Ironically, at the end of it all, they still messed up my order and proceeded to serve me with a hot espresso shot which I downed immediately in favor of getting out of that frantic, pretentious location. Perhaps next time I’ll order my espresso the “right” way. To quote a wise long gone hero, “Only Sith deal in absolutes.”

Decent coffee. I enjoyed the vanilla latte. The barista working was pleasant. Not a big fan of the chairs in store (not good for studying).
