I freaking love this place. I recently spent over a month in Sac for work, and I ate Chita’s at least twice a week. Lunch? Perfect. Late night? Even better. I forgot to ever take a photo of my food because it was always gone so quickly. Not to mention it’s CHEAP.Highlights for me were the pastor and carnitas tacos and the red tamales. You really can’t go wrong, though. There’s a reason this place is always buzzing late night.

I have been going to chitas for years and have always loved their food. It is delicious, and inexpensive, and they have a lot of vegetarian options. Today, my order got pretty messed up, so I went back to get it fixed. They handled it with no fuss and very quickly. Good restaurants make good food, but great restaurants turn bad situations into good situations.

Always a good choice for delicious, inexpensive Mexican food when one is in midtown. Get the Chitas fries. ? Service is always good. A true gem.

We've only have had breakfast burritos (chorizo) which has now become our go to place for that because it is consistently made good. It is authentic in taste and in ingredients and I say this as a mexican descendant. The homemade salsa is homemade and we just can't get enough. We are ready to try the dinner menu and I think we are confident we will be pleased.

Grab and go quick serve burrito place with good lunch options. Burritos are generous in size, and breakfast options are available.

If you like taco bell but more expensive this is the place you have to go

Food was great refried beans were just ok, but fish in fish taco was excellent

Best homemade authentic Mexican food and all of Sacramento traveled all over the US Nothing Compares

Very good tacos with a decent variety of meats. Tomales are also good. Ample outdoor seating. Prices great for midtown.

It was fine, not great. Veggie burrito was somewhat flavorful and my son liked his taquitos, the papa taco had coldish potatoes (also not a ton of flavor) and my wife thought the sope and tamales were just okay, but we'll probably stick to Dali's unless necessary.
