I like this place. Clean and convenient and the food quality is good. It's a new location so hopefully it stays this way. I've had several items from the menu. My new favorite is the California Burger. But everything I've had was really good. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, my last visit, the bbq sauce dispensers were all empty and it wasn't a very busy time of day. Staff was attentive for food delivery and taking orders but no one was monitoring the drink area where the sauce had run out and a spill had dried and become sticky. Little petty stuff I know.
Burgers used to be the best in town but have changed somehow. Sweet potato fries are good.Easy side pick-up window so you don't have to go inside. 3 stars because every time I pick up an order, something is missing and I don't know till I get home.
I really want to try this place again, but it doesn't have any locations close to home. Really liked the giant pretzel. I had a tri tip sandwich, but the meat was over seasoned and salty. It had something called Red Ranch Dressing on it, and I think that was the culprit. Next time, I'll skip that. Also, the bun had WAY too much butter put on it before it was toasted. Yuck. Next time, I'll try one of the meat plates instead of a sandwich. Also, their lime salad dressing has tons of cilantro in it. If you don't like cilantro, that will totally ruin a salad for you.

The food was good and came super fast. The Mac and cheese was real good, and the onion strings also were great. Sausage and brisket were awesome. I was very satisfied with my purchase
Great as always. I got the Asian chicken salad, but changed the tortilla strips (which is an odd thing for an Asian salad). It's my favorite thing on the menu. My BF got the chop salad with Tri tip and said it was very good. Buckhorn is little on the expensive side, but the quality and the service is always excellent. Worth it. When will the bar open????
My friend and I ordered two different chicken sandwiches and they were both dry. We both agreed that we were not going to order either one again. The tri tip bites were very good.
Ribs were really good!! The mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were excellent as well. Yum!!
I love the Roadhouse salad with either smoked and grilled tri-tip beef or Chicken. Chicken today with crisp mixed greens, string green beans, candied walnuts topped with awesome fried onion strings and a vinaigrette dressing that perfectly marries the whole salad. My nephew truly enjoyed his full size tri-tip buck with french fries. An appetizer side of pork sliders was ordered for others yumm. A side of onion strings everyone enjoyed with some to take home. Counter ordered but delivered with a friendly face and attitude.
Delicious authentic BBQ. Friendly staff, clean facilities, great music, and many kids options. Do not pass up this place if you’re in Sacramento. Fantastic food.
