The food was tasty but partly way overpriced for very tiny portions. $4 for two tiny grilled eggplant pieces, seriously?! The service was knowledgeable but also very slow. However, they allow themselves an automatic 20% gratitude to the bill and still have an option for giving extra tip. You should leave this decision to the customer. He should decide how much the overall service and experience is worth to him. Just saying „this is the way we do it here” doesn’t make it more right.I don’t like the feeling of being ripped off after a dining experience. I truly had that feeling this time. No good experience and we would not return.
Ordered a few yakitori. This is my second time here and I didn't expect the higher price. None the less ordered a few sticks for a buddy and IWhat's great is that they grill in front of you. They cook it over coals. My complaint is that you don't really taste the charcoal which should add on to the flavor. Don't get me wrong, the food coming out of it still tasted good. Got a few mushroom sticks and you have to try the chicken cartilage.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I really enjoyed my dining experience here. Who says there is no place " to eat" in Sacramento? I beg to differ.Everything the server recommended was really good (Thanks Shari!). From the izakaya skewers to the Okinawan ramen. The only thing I really didn't care for was the Soboro don. Lots of sweet egg with ground chicken over rice. Too sweet for my taste buds!You MUST order the Krispy rice when you are here! Loved the tangy, light spicy bites. The grilled Hamachi was my 2nd favorite thing to eat here. Not too soft or overly cooked.I had a awesome meal here and will definitely be back!Made a reservation and it's not in what I would say the best of neighborhoods. Indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be found and not too difficult. Make sure you make a reservation!
There is not much one can say about a place this good.... other than: thank you! What a magnificent meal. Grilled Food on sticks on this level is a thing of beauty. Grilled Chicken and various chicken parts is the heart of the menu but from there the horizons are endless. This one of the best Izakayas I have ever been to. And they do it all with hardworking, and utterly friendly charm. Great people. Let them guide you through the vast menu. You will not be sorry. Sacramento is damn lucky to have this place.
Food is consistently amazing ! Ramen bowls are out of this world. The fried chicken, Tempura etc. Everything is delicious
Do not sleep on the veggie scewer options, so much flavor packed in yet perfectly balanced. The sweet potatoes were a favorite, and the bacon mochi was AMAZING. And great service to top it all off.
Slow service. Beer had lots of foam on it. Service was great and the waitress included a 20% gratuity in the bill. Food was darn tasty but portions were tiny. Ie: $6 for 2 chicken wings. $5 for 2 small slices of shittake mishrooms. 2 hour total meal time for appetizers.
Remember to make a reservation. If you walk in you’ll get the coldest outdoor table even if there are warmer places.
One of the best restaurants in Sacramento. Food is always amazing, staff and owners are so helpful and polite, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Have been many times and will continue to go!
