Visited this location as I always do whenev I'm in the Sac area (living ~60 miles out) and this time, they fell FAR short of the mark. I always get the much coveted cheese curds for the drive home and some chicken legs for the kids (can't find cheese curds even remotely close to home). I was saddened when I bit into ALMOST EVERY cheese curd there was no cheese in them-- it was just crust & oil ? I think there were MAYBE 3-4 curds in there that had the melty cheese like it should and usually always does. Not the end of the world, just very disappointing that they actually thought I wouldn't notice and packaged the rogue empty curds to sell to me. Like, don't rush the deepfry process with these things! I don't mind parking out front of the establishment to wait for them! I mean, y'all had me wait (as usual, no biggy) anyways, so why the heck you give me this garbage?! One of 2 things took place: 1) they flash fried them too hot & fast (which causes to crust to rupture, thereby spilling the melted cheese out) or 2) they actually gave them to me purposely because they were too lazy to make some fresh. I think it's the 1st one because pretty much every other time, they have been delicious. Please do better next time, A&W! I know you can ?
I remember the good ole days when A&W had the dine in your car setup and had a craving for root beer, so I stopped by...sadly, nothing is the same. The food was cold (I ate while driving). The burger reminded me of the soybean burgers that were served in some public schools and the root beer.... just flat...so much for nostalgia.
This place is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Every time I come here there is an issue with customer service! Today the boy taking my order over the drive thru completely messed up my order and basically rushed me off when I wasn’t finished. Then when I got to the window and the young lady was trying to straighten it all out the MANAGER starts yelling at her “I TOLD YOU NO ADD-ONS!” It’s not a damn add on! She’s fixing my order that your other employee messed up and is standing right there! Yell at him not her! Very bad service and food! Choose somewhere else…

Quick and friendly service. Drive thru has one window so don't drive forward expecting to get your order at another window, stay out ??
I wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely TERRIBLE food and customer service. Has definitely changed over time. Food there is overpriced, greasy, small portions, and either burnt food, or not cooked all the way. They are also not very friendly at all. I wish I would have waited in the line for in-n-out instead of coming here. No wonder there was only one car in their drive-thru. I ordered from the A&W menu, and got the bacon cheeseburger meal. It looks like a kids meal.. bacon was burnt so bad on the outside, and not cooked it the middle.. the size of the fries is extremely small, and most of them were cold to begin with. I will NEVER waste my money here again.
This place at 4pm can take a 100.00 on a 55.00 order! Then we tried to add more food and they still refused They don’t have change! Are you kidding a multimillion dollar company and threw away the entire order because your to incompetent to complete a sale! This is what happens when kids operate a store! We will never go here again!

Had a root beer freeze amd it was wonderful as usual. Highly recommend.
