This place is my favorite! I get the whole sha-bang medium spice level every time. A pound of shrimp and add corn and potatoes. I love the corn because when it gets soaked in the sauce, it is super flavorful. I don’t mind getting down and dirty with seafood. This is a real grub place with fresh seafood. I love that this place provides limes and the salt/pepper containers to squeeze lime juice in. Boiling crab also has the best Cajun and/or lemon pepper wings. They are hot in temperature and very flavorful! Their fried calamari are great! Personally, I am not a fan of a bunch of fried breading, so they do a really great balance of giving you actual calamari rings to eat! Their Cajun fries are always a must and I always make them at least medium. They are pretty light on their seasoning spice on the fries. But I love spicy food! I really enjoy this place a lot! Probably the biggest seafood lover!
We spent over $200 in take out... to be fair, the snow crab legs were good but just pricey... $42/lb (used to pay less than $20/lb before the pandemic in 2019). The shrimp was "mushy", technically "not fresh" and it was very disappointing. It is the first time we order in this location, never encountered such mishap before in the chain. Downtown Los Angeles (Wilshire), Rosemead, Orange, etc.. Hope they take seriously our review to improve or avoid this in future.
Loved it! Amazing food and pretty good service. I've been to many boiling Crabs and let me tell you this one by far is the best! Love it here and hope to be back soon.
First time there was great the food was great the service was great the waiters were great even the girls in front that took your your name down they were great and I give them a fight because their food was excellent thank you
First time here but I've been to a similar set up before. Not sure what the hype is usually about but the spices were okay and the service was good. I really disliked that there wasn't really an option to have the heads of the shrimp off. Looking at the heads throughout my meal was pretty unpleasant. Its bit pricey too since other offerings are not included such as the potatoes, corn, and sausage links like at other places. Their fries with crab on top where really good with the lemon pepper sauce. ? ? ? ?Wish their hand washing station had better soap. Felt like my hands were still a but greasy. Like the roomy atmosphere. They were out of items so that sucked but it was okay. They were out of margaritas and a certain crab so maybe call ahead and join the yelp wait list.
Bring your appetite. Portions are very good. Depending on what day you go expect a wait. Service is good but, hard to get waitress attention when crowded. Prices are up there but it's expected with Seafood. Gumbo soup was plain. The make your own bag is the way to go but come hungry. Parking here not good at all. Spacious inside and can accommodate big parties.
Four words can summarize my experiences at the Boiling Crab restaurant : comforty , deliciously Messy , and satisfying . As a first timer dining at here , I am quite nervous at the begining as I wonder how and what should I order ? Once we were greeted by the friendly hosts who is very experienced and asked us if we were the first timer , once he know we are indeed the first timer , he gave us detailed infos on how the restaurant operate and he lead us to a comfortable booth . The second host came over and with smiles and she took over five mintunues explaining to us how to order on the menu , what kind of seafoods the restaurant offer and she even gave us recommendations on the most pupular items . Our server Jared is polite and attentive and refill our drinks constantly .We ordered the Gumbo Soup and two lbs Canjun shrimp ,with potato and corn . The Gumbo soup is full of seafood flavours with shrimp and mashed sausages. The combination of the soup is perfect in taste and satisfying in contents . The Canjun style shrimp is just fantastic and amazing . Of the blend of spices , of the combinations of seasoning , of the extra juiciness , we lost our self in enjoying the delicious shrimps that are so tender , full of flavours . I can't help licking my fingers for that magic and tasty juicy . Don't judge us the messiness , it is deliciously Messy .I am very satisfied with the whole dining experiences , the wait to dine in is less than 10 mins ; the hosts and servers are well trained and polite . I enjoyed the inside the environments that is cozy , spacious and welcoming . We left this wonderful restaurant with full satisfications , not just our stomaches , but full experiences . I can't wait to go back and try other items .
Had the Crawfish...Absolutely delicious! I ordered for pickup and when I picked it up, it was piping hot and packaged so good, that nothing lame into the car. The staff was very attentive and I was in and out in no time!

Food was delicious!! The only reason why I don’t give a 5 stars ⭐️ it’s because service was rude towards us, when the lady came to out table with our food she was naming each of our plates but since she had a mask on we couldn’t understand her, and I said sorry what? Like two times, and I just ended up saying it was my order and then she just threw the bag literally in front of me. I still have her tip tho but no need to throw the things …
