The only place you can get full eating lobster. The French beef is great. The honey walnut shrip is very impressive. Crispy and moist at the same time.

This is one of my favorites for seafood, especially for its lobsters. The Cantonese-style stir-fried lobster is so tender and juicy. The dishes here are so authentic, have good taste, and aren't revered for Westerners.Newport Seafood Restaurant has two branches, both can have 4-star, but the Rowland Heights one is better than San Gabriel.BTW, both locations are not easy to park, the San Gabriel only has valet parking.

Had barely any seafood available except lobster and shrimp. Other than that, food was decent

Terrible! Zero stars!!!Save your money, and stay away! Even Panda express is better compared to this place.First, I observed a server picking his teeth with his finger with his mask down. I was in the middle of swallowing a spoonful of rice. Disgusting!Second, food is terrible, and overpriced. We ordered seafood fried rice, and the newport crab for two. Fried rice was not seasoned at all, and they charged $24 per pound for crab which wasn't good and impossible to eat.Third, service was also really bad. The lady in the front didn't even greet us, and the servers were just standing around doing nothing.

1 star for the service which they were nice this time, they usually aren't. The food used to be good here before the pandemic, but now either they changed the chef or something but the food was not good and it was pricey. Not coming back for a long while.

Extremely limited menu options and sketchy practice with the lobster. Oh and due to the rain, they had to put 3 huge plastic containers in the middle of the floor among 3-4 tables (the large rectangle ones you see them hold dirty dishes). Disgusting and tripping hazard. Our party of 10 ordered a 5-6 lbs lobster and the pieces we got do not seem to resemble a whole lobster. All of us got most the parts with legs and very few meaty pcs. The meaty PC's were cut in halves. The house fried rice had shrimp and imitation crab meat, which is pretty cheap for an Asian style fried rice. I had real crab meat fried rice in another Thai restaurant for similar price.Their seafood fried noodle came with the thick noodle that is deep fried and stirred fried. A little thicker than usual stir fried noodle but still a bit crunchy. What is odd is that being a seafood noodle, it came with one seafood (bland tasting squid) and chicken or lean pork. There are other restaurants that serve Newport's "special" lobster with a much wider menu selection.

I recently had a reunion with a childhood friend and we were treated very poorly what should have been a memory to cherish was a nightmare due to poor service and rude waiters to top it all of we were denied entry of a bottle demanding we buy there beer just for them to mockingly tell they are sold out of beer. I strongly suggest this restaurant if you want to ruin your night.

go to san gabriel Newport....taste better and better service

Bad experience, order take out and can’t wait in the store. Lol. Service charge? SXXK IT.
