Food is a bit salty but the whole dining experience is good. However, if you are visiting this place on a business trip, make sure to not take your rental car here.. or take all your bags with you. My rental car was broken into, and so was my colleagues visiting from another state. There were more expensive cars next to me, but they knew my ride was a rental. Out of many cars parked in the lot, only ones to get broken into were the rentals. Be very careful. Even the Sheriff that came over to take my report said this has happened several times (only rentals being broken into).D

It's been. While that I went to a place and every item I ordered was incredible. The food is fresh and very delicious. I highly recommend the shrimp, that was probably my favorite thing. This place is good for groups and they are very friendly.

Wait was awhile since seating for 7 people. You have to wait there because no one will call or text you. So that took about a hour. But once there was well worth it. A bit pricey but it was good. I come back for sausage, Dan Dan noodles, beef. They had Szechuan seasoned peanuts and seasoning to dip your meats in! Was not a big fan of the fried chicken skin.I'm not big fan of lamb or chicken gizzard which my family ate.

Very fun concept! Skewered meat freshly bbq'd at your table. The seasonings were decent, but keep in mind it'll be the same flavor you taste throughout the night. They give you two powders to dip your meat in!We got beef and pork belly skewers! Both were good quality meat, but I preferred the beef. More tender and paired really well with the seasoning. The cucumber salad was very good to quench all the meat. It was simply just cucumber with a bit of vinegar and lots of garlic! I really enjoyed the jellyfish salad! Tangy, refreshing, and great chewy jellyfish. I highly recommend. Different than the jellyfish you get at dim sum.I will note that I ordered a bacon-wrapped enoki skewer, but it never arrived to the table... I was looking forward to it. Make sure you double check everything that you marked on your menu paper!Overall, I will definitely return! Their Chinese-styled crawfish looks absolutely delicious. I will have to come back and try it soon...PRO TIPS:+ get 10% off with a Yelp Check In+ tell the waiter if you have peanut allergies!

Prior to COVID-19, I dined at GUI BBQ Restaurant & Bar a couple times with friends and with family. The service and the food were great during both visits and I would gladly come back again.LOCATION / PARKING:Located just south of the 60 Freeway in Rowland Heights off Nogales. You can actually see the building from the freeway. If you park on the corner of the building closest to their signage, there is a small elevator you can take up to the second floor. Turn left and you'll see a large door that will automatically slide open if you stand close to it.INTERIOR / AMBIENCE:Once the large, sliding door opens, you'll enter a black and red space lit with neon lights and a huge statue near the bar. The atmosphere is filled with loud chatter and music, and the setting with the hot grills in the middle of the table is more suitable for groups and evening dining.MENU:They have quite an extensive menu of different meat and vegetable skewers, soups, noodles, appetizers, drinks, and much more. I enjoyed the items we ordered, especially the Pork Belly Skewers, the Cucumber Salad, and the GUI Street Dan Dan Noodles! I really liked the pork belly skewers a lot and the "dipping powders" (seasonings) went so well with them. The cucumbers were so refreshing with the added cilantro. And the Dan Dan Noodles -- oh my goodness -- were so chewy, bouncy, spicy, and delicious! The best I ever had!STAFF:During both visits, we had excellent service. For example, our server during the first visit with my friends was impeccable. He literally catered to us and was super knowledgeable. He was extremely attentive and made sure our drinks were refilled and our used plates taken away. The server at my second visit with my family was also great! Before ordering, we informed the server that one of my nieces has food allergies and she gave us suggestions of items that should be okay for her to consume. They made a special (plain) skewer and mild Dan Dan Noodles for her to enjoy and we were happy my niece was able to enjoy the food we were also eating.BE CAREFULI would strongly advise not bringing small children to this restaurant because the coals on the grills can get very hot. When transporting the hot coals, the staff does a good job keeping the hot coals contained in wheeled metal carts to prevent any injury or harm. Even as adults, take extra caution because you can feel the heat even when you sit as far back into your seat.Overall, I am rating this a 4.5 because I thought the food was great here. The least enjoyable for me was the heat emitting from the grill. It was super hot, especially with me wearing contacts. I felt like they were going to melt in my eyes. Lol. It was uncomfortably hot against my skin but, at the same time, appreciated to keep the food hot. Also, the smell of grilled meat will permeate through your clothes. Make sure this is your last stop of the night, haha. Will I come back? Absolutely! It's an experience each time!

The food was on par. The best part is the auto grill on the table. The downside is the seating at the tables that are not partitioned. They will seat people next to you shoulders to shoulders. That was a bit uncomfortable during the Covid-19-omicron surge. They also don’t check vaccine record like other restaurants do at this time. So enter at your own risk.

Food is good but there is a high wait time. Each time I’ve gone here, there has been an excess of 1.5 hours of wait time. I suggest going either early or later in the night

Huge portions, good price, good service

This spot has high reviews so decided to try it. Arrived at 7pm and got seated at 8:30. Sat down and got peanuts and our plates with seasoning. We got the beef and lamb. The flavors were there and even if you didn’t think so, they had cumin and seasoning mix for you on your plate to adjust the flavor yourself. This spot is mainly a spot to hang out because you’ll be waiting for at least an hour and your food while it cooks. The cool part is that they actually put charcoal in there to cook the meats. I was thinking more of them just having a kbbq style with just fire and something over it to heat up the meats. The servers will start by putting your meats in the beginning and then the 2nd plate arrives, you’ll be putting your skewers on yourself. The appetizer dishes were delicious but pretty pricey for how much they give. The jellyfish was delicious! Overall still delicious. As a small person, I think it’s more worth for me to come here than a ayce kbbq spot paying $28+ since I don’t eat as much meat in one go anyway. Highly recommend this spot! Even to try! It’s an experience!
