It was awesome. Note that many of the foods are very sichuanly spicy, and some of the dishes are pretty salty. Overall, it was delicious, especially the spicy fish. Service was great, and staff were nice. Would recommend. Also food came out insanely fast, and they definitely didn’t skimp out on how much you got.

Delicious, the spring onion chicken in pepper sauce was great. Your mouth will be numb, be forewarned.

Chengdu Taste is just another below average Chinese restaurant in Rowland Heights. I had dinner there tonight. The restaurant was slow on a Tuesday night. The food was below average but the service was poor. The dining room setting was messy. They required vaccination cards and all ordering to be done online. I will not visit this restaurant again.

Excellent food....authentic taste and flavor. The place was neat and clean. Great experience ?

I love Szechuan food ?

Our generous neighbors invited us to dinner at their favorite restaurant, part of a chain with locations in Alhambra and Vegas that was highly acclaimed as a top LA restaurant (they had been to all). The casual display of a dozen framed food critics’ accolades on a wall attested to that pedigree. We left the ordering to our hosts using QR code (many dishes with esoteric Chinese names). Food came quickly and service was attentive. These dishes stood out from other Sichuan restaurant food we’re used to because of their prodigious use of Sichuan peppercorn which gave the dishes a unique aromatic taste and a nuanced spice profile. Several classic Sichuan dishes like mapo tofu, garlic sauce eggplant, braised string bean, twice-cooked pork, meat with green peppers, etc, made their appearances. Of the dishes they ordered, the crowd pleasers were the savory eggplant; the cold chicken in red pepper chili sauce: tender, fresh, surprisingly not spicy (la zi ji?); the Shui Zhu Yu (boiled fish): moist cod with mung bean sprouts in a light, delicious broth; and the tasty, generously portioned stir-fried shredded pork (yu shiang style). The signature toothpick lamb was nice (the bite size little pieces of cumin-infused meat were not gamy). The huge, saucy, full-flavored mapo tofu, was different from any I have had elsewhere. We’re grateful to our hospitable hosts for introducing us to an authentic, delectable version of Sichuan cuisine.

Really tasty food. Not super spicy but the sauce at the bottom of the dish will get you plenty of heat. Sadly there is no outdoor dining available, so we had to order takeout. They are open for indoor dining though.

Spice level manageable and tasty.Enjoyed the garlic eggplant and spicy beef dishes. The spicy fish soup had great fish but flavor was lacking. Spice level ok.Cumin lamb great.Grilled pork was great too.Well packed for pick up. Would order again. Would also like to go eat there when it’s safe to do so.

Best dishes our family have had for a while, great food and services!
