Our favorite place in our city food is so good the people there are so nice and on it thank you best Mexican food in town!!!!
Large portion on all the dish. Service is good.
First time here. Tried there chilaqueles with pork Chile Verde and I have to say, very good. The salsa and chips they start you off with tells how good it is. Great service and decent prices as well.
When I came home last night I stopped to pick up dinner there.. I would have given 5 stars but the steak picado was 50% gristle.. The chili relleno and enchilada dinner that my husband got was delicious he said.I did call them and brought to their attention the high % of gristle. Suggested they tell the chef or the owner to do something with meat for this dish, like don't cheap out on the meat they buy...just saying..
The food was delicious, our waitress was kinda rude, but the food made up for it. We went at 9 am when they opened on a Monday. Seemed like everyone working there was cranky. We left her a good tip in hopes it made her day better.
Try their Carnitas Plates it is DELICIOUS!!!
Miss Casa Alvarez! I understand it still has the same name. But the restaurants owner had been in Diamond bar for over 15 years. My family would have family get togethers and birthdays. The owner was wonderful and the staff was great, The food was great. I enjoyed the flautas and enchiladas. Miss it every time we drive by. Can’t go there anymore. I hope the new owner works hard and makes food he is proud off.Casa Alvarez of 2004 and earlier will be in our families memories forever ??
Great food, fast service, good prices. Excellent servers. My first time and definitely not my last. Great place for just a meal or a snack with friends.
This is for the owner. Long time customers aren't feeling valued. I am very disappointed today. Today my family was celebrating my sister's university graduation. We have been coming to this restaurant for 25 years and for weekend dinners and special occasions. We arrived an hour and 15 minutes before closing. We asked for the back tables because of the size of our party and comfort. The young lady said "NO!" We also usually sit at these tables. I asked again. Can we please because it's a very special occasion. We were told the reason we couldn't was because it was just cleaned!! The women didn't want to sit us there because it was just cleaned. Apparently we aren't valued to sit at a clean table for our party. She pointed and said "go set there!" She was aggressive and rud. We set down and another server said for us the sit in a "small table." It wasn't comfortable because we are larger people. I explained this to them, and half of the restaurant was empty. The women started to talk to the other server about us. She wasn't kind. She gave us a nasty look with her eyes and her body language was evident. (Please talk to her if your customers aren't returning!!!! It's probably customer service!) We are genuinely trying to support family business, but this behavior isn't acceptable. Their refusal created a negative atmosphere for the evening, we felt unimportant and apparently we weren't suitable for a "clean table." This same woman was angry last time we ate. We use to have beautiful memories eating at this restaurant but pure rudnes isn't acceptable. At Casa Alvarez customers aren't important! The server was kind and acknowledged the lack of kindness and customer service but it still happened! Please correct it Jesus or the owner.
