Brisket sandwich tastes like roast beef sandwich with BBQ sauce, but it is still good.
Easily the best sandwich in all of sac. Food and service was straight excellent.
Ordered a Reubens and the meat was cold. And there was a hair in the sandwich.
For anyone looking at the star ratings, be sure to note that anything recent has been poor. The five star ratings seem to be from a long time ago with previous owners. We previously ate here at least once a week, a lot less in recent months, and now probably not again.Yesterday I ordered two 6” sandwiches and a 4” sandwich for kid #1 and a large Mac n cheese for kid #2. I asked to add extra meat to one sandwich. It was $41.We got home to unpack three 6” sandwiches (not what I ordered) with one marked extra meat. It looked like the smallest sandwich. It was the same turkey and provolone as the others but should have had extra meat. It weighed the same as the other and had very little turkey. The Mac and cheese bowl was super tiny. Both kids took a bite and hated it. They usually love all Mac and cheese, at home, from restaurants, wherever. I thought that was odd so I tried it. Very “chalky” type texture and not good at all. It went in the garbage. Pic of container for size reference. I think this cost $9+ according to their online menu.So overall - wrong size sandwich, no meat as ordered and paid, and disappointing overpriced Mac
Me and my son went today and we were both very pleased the soup and sandwiches were spot on the service was great with smiles and the place was nice and clean and well stocked. We will return. Thanks
First off, I know finding good help right now is hard, and the employees at this location were nice and greeted me right away...however...that is where it ends. I watched as the cashier rang up someone paying cash. He then handed back the change and went immediately back to making sandwiches and touching meat with the SAME gloves he had on when handling money! GROSS!!! I quietly asked for a manager (one because I didn't want to embarrass the cashier and two, I don't think it is my place to speak directly to an employee about proper food safety when I assume that should come from a manager or someone who knows the public health safety requirements in their own facility.) Anyway, I was told there was no manager, but someone came over who said "I am the closest thing" and I proceeded to tell him what I saw. At that point the cashier came over and in voice loud enough for the entire place to hear and said "you could have just told ME, you didn't need to ask for a manager" and then proceeded to make a big scene as he dramatically replaced his gloves (and did so dramatically with each sandwich/cash register switch addressing me each time). Patrons were all looking around asking me why the scene. The "manager" addressed me and said "I am so sorry...everyone knows they should change gloves, but they don't listen. Also, we get in trouble for too many glove changes so I don't really know what to do." Bottom line, we frequent this place often, but no more for us. Bummer because the food is great.
Not sure if there was ownership change, but I will never go there again. Use to go couple times a month for a good sandwich and today it was no better then subway !
Let me start by saying that my hubby loves Sourdough and Co. I'm a vegetarian, so the options for me are limited here. We visited this location for the first time and we were both very disappointed. The people working at that time were a bunch of self-absorbed teens who didn't even bother to acknowledge our presence when we walked in. They acted as if we were bothering them by being there. It was a slow time of the day, a little before 3pm, and we were the only ones there. They could've at least stopped talking to each other to greet us, but that proved to be too much for them. When we got home with our order, my husband's clam chowder soup was only halfway filled and he barely had any meat in his sandwich. Terrible service paired with half portion servings even though we paid for the full serving = we're not going back to this location!
Cashier was great, Manger had very poor customer service!
Always mess our order. We are always short a soup or bread or the sandwich is different. Since we takeout we don't notice until we are home and hungry and tired. Food is good.
