PEET's COFFEE "unisex restrooms" or "unisex public toilets" DO NOT HAVE PAPER TOWEL DISPENSERS.DISCUSSION:Both restrooms have "Dyson Air Blade," electric, hand driers, that in my personal opinion, in my non-medical opinion, and in my non-healthcare opinion are dysfunctional. The electric dryers operate for much, much less than 20 seconds continuously. Personally, I have never been able to properly dry my hands.QUESTIONS:Q1 ¿¿ How do customers (and employees (baristas)) exit noted restrooms or toilets without contacting a contaminated surface, the door handle ??Q2 ¿¿ Do baristas and other Peet employees have access to an employee's only sink for hand washing ??Q3 ¿¿ How long does it take for hands to air dry according to established guidelines??ANSWERS:A1: I DON'T KNOW.A2: I DON'T KNOW.A3: "They found that using a drying time of 5 seconds with cloth towels would achieve 85% dryness of the hands, but using 20 seconds of drying time under hot air dryers would achieve less than 70% dryness."†REFERENCE:†Cunrui Huang, Wenjun Ma, and Susan Stack; Mayo Clinic Proceedings,The Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research."THE HYGIENIC EFFICACY OF DIFFERENT HAND-DRYING METHODS: A Review of the Evidence."CONCLUSIONS FROM ARTICLE:ONE. "From a hygiene viewpoint, PAPER TOWELS ARE SUPERIOR to electric air dryers."TWO. "Drying hands thoroughly with single-use, disposable paper towels is the preferred method of hand drying in health care."ADDITIONAL ARTICLE INFORMATION, Mayo Clin Proc.; 2012 Aug; 87(8):791–798.ECONOMIC DISCUSSION:††The Air Blade hand dryer saves up to 98% in paper towel costs while saving energy and the environment. For example, at 400 uses per day, the Dyson Airblade would cost about $67 per year to operate. Paper Towel usage would cost around $2,920 for the year.†† Economic discussion included for completeness onlyPlease excuse any grammar or punctuation errors. Drove this peets many times and so glad I stopped by. It's very spacious with many tables and seating areas. Very clean and friendly staff.

Excellent coffee, pastries, and food. Friendly staff.

This shop was good just really busy! The drinks were just as we ordered and the staff friendly. Only going 4/5 due to the crowded atmosphere - not anything in their control. Although I do think it would help if Peet’s opened another location in Citrus Heights…

Peetnik for life. Dark roast is the move. Try a custom blended cup. My personal recommendation: Sulawesi/Kenya

Always a awesome staff you can coffee in the lobby now mask is optional overall its a nice place to relax and have coffee

Very accommodating staff. They went out of their way to make my decaf pumpkin latte with a special type of decaf. Delicious!

Hands down better than Starbucks breakfast sandwich lol I’m glad I gave Peet’s coffee a try

Boyfriend picked up a frappe for me, it was quite good! He really enjoys their coffee as well and is a loyal customer. My frappe wasn't too sweet or too bitter so it's a nice medium between the too sweet McD's one and the much too bitter SBuck's frappachino.

My go-to coffee shop!! I love the entirety of the staff, they always cater to my crazy customized coffee orders and are super friendly no matter the day! I do my best to always tip and I think others should consider it as well, because this location in particular has staff that works so hard and so quickly and efficiently. Try the iced white chocolate mocha next time you’re there. :)
