We were really excited to try Nixtaco, I had been following their social media for awhile. It was alright, but we weren't super impressed. The prices for food and drinks are pretty high. They have a QR code menu to order, have a tab, and checkout online, which is pretty standard, but leaves little to no interaction with any staff. The online menu has little to no description of what the menu items actually are- especially the named drinks. I love micheladas and was eager to try since they make their own mix, I ordered their Nixtaco Clamato since there wasn't an actual "michelada" on the menu, so I assumed that was it. It was not good, didnt finish it. The pint glass was cute and the presentation looked good, but it tasted like I was simply just drinking a beer... not even sure what kind- did not taste like a michelada or caesar, or clamato. The tacos were good and we liked the variety, but they were definitely overpriced $6+/per taco. Extra salsa was an up charge. We sat on the patio and were blasted by the smoker smoke the whole time, although it smelled good, it was not pleasant having the smoke in our faces the whole time. Since you order and check out online there really isn't any server interaction at all. We were never checked on, there was no opportunity to actually ask any questions about the menu. We ordered online, someone dropped off our food/drinks, we paid online, we left. We likely won't be back. Although the tacos were pretty good, there are several other places we like to go with better service, better atmosphere, and more appropriately priced menu items.

Pretty creative tacos with high quality ingredients my only complaint is it was slightly on the bland side I wish they were more generous and adventurous with seasoning their food and with heat (nothing is actually spicy even if it says spicy)The pork belly taco was my favorite!

I'd give them a 3.5 for our first visit only because we haven't really scratched the surface on all the menu items. Service was great and out of the four tacos we tried - the Tacos al Pastor was the best followed by the Roadkill taco. The shrimp and pork taco and the pollo verde was just ok - not as addictive as the other two. For sure order the churros to finish off your meal - so good! Definitely will go back and try out a few more items off the menu and update this review.

Great selection of tacos and burritos. From the smoky and tangy taste of the carnitas to the Chicken Mole. My family are going to make this a regular stop till I try all the different combinations. Oh and to wash it down Pliney the Elder on tap. This is my new taco spot for sure.

We were a party of four with a reservation. Our first time here. Order via QR code on you telephone. Service was fast and food was excellent. I loved the Octopus taco. The restaurant is very crowded and very noisy. I think next time we will do take out.

Great food! It’s a hyped location and it lives up to it.

This place has wonderful food and service! Casual and pleasant atmosphere. Totally lives up to the articles I have read about Nixtacos! We ordered margaritas, the cheese Dip, guacamole, spicey shrimp tacos, carnitas, chicken, al pastor, and chicharon! All were outstanding!

A michelen star restaurant next to our house? We went before it was cool, but they've done a lot since they first opened and I felt compelled to give them a review. Keep up the good work guys. Walking distance is almost the same to my mailbox. Kudos.

Delicious food and staff is very nice!

Not customer friendly, hair in my salsa. Non attentive, app makes things impersonable
