Claim Jumper is perfect for a happy hour date. The saloon area is dimly lit with comfortable booths. The setting is ideal to share an appetizer and grab an adult beverage from the bar menu. Happy hour used to be everyday all day long, but they have changed the time to Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. The happy hour menu consists of $6 margaritas, $6 wine by the glass, $5 draft beers and $5 appetizers. Claim Jumper is known for using the best ingredients and an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. If the date is going well you can share a decadent six layer chocolate motherload cake, that is renowned by food Network as one of America's "top five most decadent desserts". Or there is a chess board next to the fireplace, to engage in a friendly game of chess. As a way to boost business, I would recommend hosting a singles mingles night or a speed dating event in the bar area. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY
Our waitress Jamie was awesome! Sorry we came on a Holiday.
Our server mentioned that Claim Jumper is under mew management, so that may explain the changes, but the food was definitely not as good as in the past. I ordered tri-tip and the server asked me how I wanted it cooked and I said medium-well. I expected pieces from the end of the tri-tip, but instead, it was thin slices of meat that were then grilled to medium well. My daughter's pizza tasted like "pizza from a gas station". My boyfriend's salmon was really good and my son liked his club sandwich. We were sitting as a pretty small table and even though the server came to our table several times, he never cleared any of our many empty plates. It felt claustrophobic. When I made the reservation, I indicated t was for a birthday. Not only did the server not do anything for the birthday, he didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. In addition, when we set out our credit card to pay the bill, the server didn't come for at least 10 minutes. We saw him watching TV at the bar. Very disappointing. That was probably the last time we will go there.
We had the best service and a very friendly stuff. The food was absolutely fantastic
Great service and friendly staff. worth going to.
To our surprise they weren't serving their normal menu. It was buffet only. The food from their normal menu is way better.
We have done Father's Day/Mother's Day brunch here a few times and it was fantastic! Unfortunately this time was not. Our server was great and the ambiance is always nice here. However the food was terrible. The buffet is $40 per person now and most of the food was burnt, dry and cold. Waffles, chicken, sausages, the bacon, pancakes, eggs Bendict, etc., was all dried out and cold. The only thing that was decent was the tri tip cut for you and the Mimosas. Very very disappointing and will not be doing brunch here in the future. :(
$40 per person for Father's Day brunch with no regular menu service would be okay if the food was really good and there was a great selection. But seemed a little too much when it was the only option available.
Jennifer was great! The food was Not Good unfortunately. The guest of honor said she could’ve gone to Applebee’s for better tasting food??
Greeted nicely and seated quickly. We picked a good time, just before dinner rush. Service was fantastic and the food was very good. Big portions, no wonder the price was on the higher side. Will definitely go back. The coffee was fresh and served with care Thank you so much
