I'm probably going to get flack for not giving them 5 stars because everyone I know loves this shop.They make a solid sandwich. I got regular Philly with mushrooms and sweet peppers. I was not expecting the sweet peppers to be pickled in sugar. Like squishy candy in my meat sandwich. I did not enjoy that. I did not see the ability to order just normal peppers.My steakfries were also not cooked through. I was only able to eat about 5 of them.I see the appeal, but being the only person in the store it would have been nice to get some more input and suggestions from the employees so that I might have avoided the candy peppers.
I've been to quite a few cheese steak shops around the Bay area, yes this particular chain, the Roseville location left a lot to be desired and a lot of training necessary for the employees. I ordered a mushroom cheese steak, emphasizing the vegetables grilled well done. I received a sandwich with slightly grilled onions, not really grilled peppers and literally one slice of mushroom. I would have complained but I felt bad for The employees, who obviously had to forage for the mushrooms themselves ???
The Motown Philly was just so INCREDIBLE! First time here and I mean just every bite melted in my mouth. Delicious! Their bell peppers are marinated in some sort of sweet & spicy recipe, I love it! After my workout, I’ll be grabbing another before they close ?
Food was good, not great. Staff was rude and short even though it wasn't busy. I asked for a little mayo because the sandwich was dry, they charged me $1. I went back a second time bought 2 sandwiches and they got my order all wrong. I don't think I will be back due to rude staff.
Had the steak with cheese, onions and peppers. Half size with steak fries was plenty. Very close to original philly. Would recommend if you ever had them in Philadelphia.
Enjoyed a delicious cheesesteak sandwich. The store was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back.

There's a reason this place is consistently busy, it's really good! When you specialize in something you better be good at it and they are! Good selection of optional variations, sides and helpful friendly staff.

It's your basic cheese steak shop. But isn't that what we want? They were polite, the sandwich was great and the place was clean.
