I have visited Carmelita's a handful of times and have always loved it. Margaritas are always refreshing and I enjoyed my spinach enchiladas verdes. My bf got the classic burrito with carnitas and found that it was like 85% cheese, which is unfortunate because the carnitas had such good flavor. The cheese wasn't even melted. This is literally the only time we've had something that was a disappointment here.
We've tried this spot twice and needless to say, we're still on the hunt for a good Mexican restaurant. Our food had definitely been sitting for awhile (I arrived early for the pickup too).The portions are large but some of the flavors were lacking. I feel like you can judge a mexican spot by their salsa and this one just tastes like tomato paste. No spice at all.
Very good authentic Mexican food.
First time there if you are in the Roseville area this is a place to go great restaurant Atmosphere they were short handed They will give you. Chips with beans and salsa dip as a starter delicious we have to come back to try new dishes and margaritas
It's been a long time since I've been here. I'll tell you... this place still serves some of the best authentic Mexican food around....the beans and rice remind me so much of my mother's. The staff is still friendly and happyIf you are either passing through or a close resident... it's worth the stopThanks for bringing back memories
the service was outstanding. the food was delicious. there were a lot of people so it was kind of noisy, but we still had a great dinner.
Great Mexican restaurant. If you like burritos, fajitas or tacos this is definitely your place.All the food was seriously amazing. The carnitas were to die for and the mashed beans were also top notch.It is a bit expensive but the portions are quite generous, so there's enough food in one order to feed two people (and you can definitely share a dish).Everyone was very friendly and again, our food was absolutely delicious. The woman that served us was very very nice. I'll definitely come back.Recomiendo este sitio a cualquiera que le guste disfrutar de buena comida con un staff muy agradable y atento. A d customer service is courteous, attentive,and easy going.if you're looking for a really good authentic Mexican restaurant without breaking the bank, Carmelita's has been in business at least 45 years, is definitely doin it rite, and the place I'd say is exactly how I feel is excellent for me
The service was fantastic, but the food was truly next level fabulous.My burrito was filled with perfectly seasoned carnitas and the perfect touch of cheese.The chips were served with an amazing bean dip as well as the salsa.Truly wonderful.And the woman that served us was terrific!
Great old school Mex food. I grew up in So Cal and I know Mex food. Always great service. Not a fan of the blended slushie marg. Too tart. But the place to to go.
