First time here for Easter brunch and it was a success. Not your typical “Easter” setting but I loved the laidback and casual dining
I had a dentist appointment in the area and decided to get a quick late lunch bite. We found this place across the street. Very nice atmosphere. Very nice people working there. The food was really good. See pics. I had the two lonely tacos with pulled pork and a bloody mary. We will definitely be back if we're ever in the area and get drinks as the bar looked pretty stacked with an assortment of draft beers.
The atmosphere is fun. And the serving staff does a good job.The food is decent. It's the usual pub type food such as fish and chips and club sandwiches. The food comes out hot, sometimes on cast iron skillets while still sizzling.Drinks come out in mason jars.We like that they take reservations (if a party is bigger than 8). We are almost always seated right away. The place is pretty popular so if feels like you're a part of the scene.The bad:The metal chairs are painfully uncomfortable. Tables are usually too close together so you have somebody usually bumping into you.The food can be inconsistent, for example the tacos can be amazing on one night and the next it's like "what happened". Also if you order tacos, no matter what night of the week it is, expect to watch all your friends eat before you because those tacos take a long time to come out.When the restaurant was newer, We came for breakfast once and they had one guy come out to make omelettes for everyone on a tiny griddle. We waited so long in the omelette line that we just decided enough was enough and we left.Getting disqualified from trivia without explanation. We knew our team had enough points for second place yet our name was not read out in the top three. We were careful not to use our phones at all during trivia so an explanation would be nice.
First time coming here. I really wanted a Bloody Mary and mine was super yummy and spicy! I had their Steak salad and it did not disappoint. I will be back again to try more food. Our waiter was excellent and gave great service.
Had the French Dip..was very good, like a hybrid Philly Cheese Steak/French Dip. My wife had the Fish & Chips and enjoyed it as well. Service was great and our food came out timely and tasted fresh.
I recently went to this restaurant for dinner. It turns out that they charged more than what the menu says for every dish. It is disappointing. I encourage the restaurant to be transparent about their prices and don't surprise their customers.Thank you for your response. We had several people and none of us saw the yellow sticker. People usually focus on the food entries and assume the prices on the menu are what they will be charged. Also, be mindful that not everyone has mobile data. Why can't the waiters remind the customers about it? With 20% service fee, I think we deserve that service. FYI, I went to another restaurant whose menu was not updated like yours, but their waiters told us about the price change. I really appreciate that.
We usually have a good time, except for recently. While we were eating, our waitress told us we will have to vacate our table within 2 hrs., unless we keep ordering. She stated it was the restaurant policy. I told her it was rude/ she said she could get the manager. I said no, because will look bad. We went because our favorite band was performing/ of course we always order drinks. She also told us we probably wouldn’t be staying to the end. ? She put a damper on our evening.Were never rude to waiters or waitress, I always even pick up our mess from the table/ put it on our plates.. Were not going back again, unless the band performs outside.. It was an awful experience, we didn’t get respect! ??♀️
We have been here a few times and we’re greeted by Mikaela the hostess. She is always super friendly and obviously enjoys her job. We were there on Saturday with a few friends when Mikaela came to get us to be be seated, it was at a tall table with stools. Unfortunately my friend could not sit there due to back issues. Mikaela was so sweet, she said “I will figure something out for you”. They were so busy and she worked out a way for us to sit in another area to accommodate our friend. The brickyard never disappoints. Great food, exceptional service. Great job Mikaela!
Nice place for lunch with plenty of outdoor seating. The food was very tasty and service was prompt and friendly.
