This is our go to when it comes to Japanese Curry. You also get the option to chose your meat like chicken, beef, chicken katsu or pork tonkatsu. The bento box items were also very tasty like the beef, katsu and California Rolls. When it comes to kitchen dishes, Bonsai blows Mukuni's out of the water.We also got a few $6 and $9 bites like the takoyaki octopus balls and a Philly Roll.Our service was also pretty good and the staff is very family oriented and friendly. Also note that sodas are served from a can.
Sushi taste great and it’s fresh and good portion side. Great customer service and one time even got appetizer on the house
Popped over here the other week. Service was really prompt and we went right when they opened. After our order for takeout, the server was polite and asked if we wanted water and gave us an ETA. We walked around outside for a bit and then while we were waiting out front, the server brought our food out to us.Everything was great and it was plenty to enjoy for two meals, we had the three item bento and two special rolls. Would come again and consider eating in.
Just got my order cost about $78.00. My miso soup had one tiny cube of tofu with a plastic after taste. My curry chicken was also tasteless, not enough flavor to swallow. The Pink Lady sushi was also disappointing with tempera shrimp (butt of the shrimp tail), imitation crab mixed with cream cheese and a hallowed out cucumber skin. Very disappointed, will never eat here again. The rating was a 4.8 on their Website....my rating is a 3.8.
The quality of the food is AMAZING. Highly recommend the bento box with ribeye and the sushi roll in my photos was the rainbow spicy roll. Imported drinks from Japan. So cool!! Miso and edamame was delicious. Dine in is available and there are bar seats
Delicious food and great customer service. This is the warrior sushi roll. The spicy garlic edamame was fresh, hot, and not too spicy.
The broth in the edamame is super tasty and warm. They give a good amount of sushi per order as well and everything tasted great.
Without a doubt the best sushi I’ve had in my life. The rolls were twice the size of any sushi I’ve had at the same price. The food was obviously absolutely amazing and the staff is so nice. Anytime someone left the restaurant everyone would say bye and thank you. Overall, a 10/10 experience definitely coming back. Would recommend for a very heavy meal.
This is what $18 worth or ramen looks like here. It was takeout and they didn’t provide a container big enough to put everything in. This was my first time eating here and for almost $20, I can’t believe the lack of quality. It only had cut up chicken, broth, ramen, an egg, and what looked like leftover cabbage. There was a slice of seaweed not pictured. I’ll just make it at home next time for $1 or $2 for the same thing. (2 stars because broth wasn’t bad, and they were nice)
After searching the greater Sacramento area for a decent sushi spot, I finally found one.... Went here for a casual business lunch and couldn't have picked a better spot. Definitely recommend Bonsai's if you want more bang for your buck. Serving sizes are more then generous for their prices, something that most other Japanese Cuisine spots around town should learn from. It didn't take more then ten minutes for our food to be served after ordering. There was a blast of flavor from every direction and the staff were more then accommodating. For all of those who are still venturing to find a good Japanese Cuisne place to chow down, look no further!
