Edited ... Yeah, the owners wrote back that they were on vacation.... So YES there are open!!!! We just went by tonight and the sign said closed, shades closed.... Does anyone know if they are closed permanently? I hope this Wonderful fish & chip place hasn't gone out of business.... This does say closed everyday ?
I stopped in around 4:30 for a late lunch. Had the place all to myself. The waitress was very nice. I had the 1. 1 piece of fish and chips. Both were cooked excentlly. She also gave me tarter sauce, 4 ketchup packets, two salt packets, and a bowl of malt vinegar. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Generous portions. Fish is very good! Light crispy batter. Fries are just average. Staff is very nice.
Excellent fish and chips! There is actually dish inside the batter compared to other places. The batter is great. Not too greasy. Not thick at all and it tasted great. I also tried a side order of the prawns. You get a tartar sauce, one malt vinegar, and one cocktail sauce. Expect a 10-15 minute wait if they are not busy.
Fish was big, sauce was ok, small place but very fast. We might comes back here
Wow! This is such a find! Very affordable and good portions even for the kid's menu.The calamari strips are to die for! Their tartar sauce got that oomph ?combined with their malt vinegar and... just typing this now makes my mouth water! ?? Awesome customer service and clean restroom.
OMG this is the spot ? Finally I found what I was looking for ??and a snap. Anchors Fish & Chips are doing it right!!! Taste Great, Service Awesome, and Totally Clean. They checked all my boxes. Don't forget to try the mushrooms.YUMMY
Service was horrible. Idk. I like California, but these ppl here are blatant racists!! They make it so obvious its disturbing. First it was the Indians at Heritage Inn Express, now its the Chinese at Anchor Fish & Chips. Now b4 u start calling me sensitive, please don't think like that. Ppl are just not very kind & respectful these days. The food was mediocre & not worth the money. The fish was dried nd the fries were tough & burnt. Not patronizing them EVER again.
