Got the grilled pork and lemongrass beef banh mi sandwiches. They were both so good!!! Both had meat that were marinated really well and perfectly constructed into the banh mi. The butter and mayonnaise with the meat (beef & pork) were delicious. I couldn't get enough of it. Even though I haven't eaten here for a couple of years, the taste is still the same and it did not disappoint at all! I was eating slowly to savor the taste and I wished I bought more when I finished. This quality and portion is worth the price. Will definitely be coming back! Mr. Baguette has reliable banh mi! It certainly is a house of quality. Totally recommemd!
It’s been several years since my last visit but the sandwiches felt like they were slapped together and not made and served with the love and care the staff used to put into serving their customers. The prices have gone up over 20% in the past two years. For the price and what you get, apologetically, I recommend going elsewhere. The ingredients in our sandwiches were awfully skimped on. This used to be my favourite Vietnamese sandwich shop in the SGV. ?
5/5 service3/5 for the food - this review is based solely on the rating of what I thought of the food.Went here with a coworker and it was okay! I am happy I gave it a try, but it was too salty and meaty for my liking. I am vegetarian and am happy they had several vegetarian options! I appreciate the inexpensive price. My coworker really likes this place though, and she got their special #1.Overall, if I was in the area again, I would still order again because of its price. I think if you're a meat-eater, though, you'd really enjoy this place. I say give this place a try to see what you think of it yourself!
This restaurant is the one I always prefer. I eat in plenty of restaurants but here I go the most. The team is very receptive and the food they cook is so tasty. I never decline to have a decent meal here. Highly recommended.
Great vietnamese sandwiches and regular sandwiches. Super yummy and great prices! The clam chowder and chicken curry are also very good.
I have eaten a LOT of banh mi over the past several years. This place was OK. It's appearance looks professional and you can tell they have a commercial baking operation in their kitchen. However I was disappointed with the house special banh mi. Only pickled veggie is carrot ..no radish, cucumber etc. No hot sauce either. I won't be coming back. There are far better banh mi out there.
This place is great. We stopped here before our morning hike. It is open since 6am in the morning! We got the iced milk coffee and a baguette. It was a bit busy even though it was 6:30am, three people in line before of us. Most people do take-out. It’s not so popular to dine in. Coffee was super tasty and charged. The baguette was crunchy and soft. They have accessibility accommodations. But the straws and some of the cups are not recyclable. I recommend it!
Please re educate yourselves on service dogs and the laws. You have told over 6 handlers their working service dogs were not allowed in. By ADA Law, service dogs are allowed within the business. NO EXCEPTIONS. I have made my report, with video evidence of the reactions of your staff and potentially the owner, and the ADA has been made clear on the poor education this established has. A formal complaint will be made by each handler, and the abuse they faced with your restaurant. DO BETTER.
Excellent banh mi. Bread is great. Filings are strictly classic Vietnamese style fillings : lots of pate, mayo, and cured meats. Hangs a letter of commendation from the French consulate in LA on their wall.
Very clean store. Good taste sandwich.
