So, my first impression was that this place was really bad. Maybe that's not fair, because depending on your tastes it could maybe be a decent selection. Basically, it's a very, very traditional Asian seafood buffet, which means if you're like me, from Texas, expect a lot of items you can't identify and suspect should never be consumed by healthy human beings.I can say the non-seafood items were not tasty, and I found the place too expensive as I essentially spent $30 on jello and some banana pudding that I couldn't get my cheap plastic fork through. Well, that's not true... I guess I also had two pieces of Texas Toast. Maybe Garlic Toast. Couldn't tell. I digress. In any case, full credit for a large selection, but unless you're a true lover of that particular style of cuisine, and I'm not, you won't be happy. Now you know what to expect.
If I can give this place a 0 I would! The service was horrible and as I headed to the dessert area I found dead cockroaches on top of the ice cream bar. Everything had mold and was super old. The staff didn't even take action when they were informed and didn't even apologize or reimburse. It's a shame to walk into a disgusting place like this one. My family had great experiences in the past but this was the worst one seeing how old and disgusting everything looked. Please don't come eat here unless you want mold and cockroaches in your food!!!!
Rude staff, if they want to rush you they put the trash beside you entire time. They also charge us for the kids who is just 2 yrs old and 4 yrs old. They are suppose to be free of charge. The food is obviously been reheat too many times. Sushi meat is already getting dark. Disgusting place to eat.
One of the best places in San Gabriel to have Sea food in a variety of dishes. An extended choice of sushi and samishi being prepared here. Recommended to come early for lunch special which ends at 3 PM Monday thru Friday.
I wish I can give this Buffet a better review. This used to be a good buffet - great value for the food and services - "used to be"Not anymore. My family is so disappointed after this last attempt hoping that it will be better. We want Kami to improve so we will have another good buffet to go to.With that said:1. Friday Dinner $22.99 per adult (good price for Dinner post COVID)2. Food: stale items, low meat and seafood quality (not worth the $23). The stir fry chef has no clue how to cook it. Not his fault, I don't think they trained him - just know to put the ingredients in, add sauces and mix. Sushi area wasn't that appealing. There were flies... :-(3. Service: Not sure why, but they are using paper plates now. The servers are not bad, at least they are better than the food.4. If management is having a hard time with increased costs, I would prefer for them to keep the quality of the food and reduce the variety. At least, get or train for a good stir fry chef. Close the front door so the flies don't come in. Clean the place , especially the vent and ceiling so the place doesn't look dirty and run down. Change the carpet to new clean flooring. Adjust the lighting ti make the dinning experience more enjoyable.
I pick-up some materials from a steel company out here and stop by this arco to take a 10 min break and buy some snack. I went inside lots of things for buy for a small store and the lady was very nice and welcomed me inside and very nice people here.
Told them only 6 people were under 65 out of 31 guests. By the time we got back to Northern California, I noticed on the receipt that they gave senior citizens' discount to only 6. Our fault for trusting. The gathering was my mother-in-law's 75th lunch celebration with her friends. Oh well?
Nice service, comfy, good food, and I love the snack section.
Lots of different food options. Very fresh selections. Very reasonably price. Plenty of parking spaces.
This Asian mixed-flavor buffet has many dishes, including Japanese food, Mexican food, and fruit salad. The light in the room is a bit dark. I don't like the carpet in the dining room. I feel that it is not hygienic. There are a lot of tables in the restaurant, a lot of guests, and the taste is pretty good.
