Exquisite food, cozy and quiet place and clean which is very important.Feel like an authentic japanese spot.Prizes are honest.Thay also wear face masks very respectful!? ? ?

We ordered delivery, our first experience with Jidaiya. The cuts of fish were shockingly small - the smallest I have ever received at any sushi restaurant. I called to ask if we had accidentally received appetizer versions of the entrees we ordered. He said fish was expensive and that's why the pieces were small, and that no one had ever complained about it before. But I see that's not true in the recent reviews. 8 items and $80 later and we were both still hungry. As for flavor and presentation, our usual favorite sushi dishes were bland, with no thought to presentation. Though comically miniscule, at least the fish was fresh. Perhaps I'm spoiled with other sushi restaurants in town, but this was not it unfortunately.

Atmosphere is spot on, it's exactly what you'd expect to see for a ramen shop. Service was kind and accommodated for my taste that was a little off the menu. (I wanted a pork tonkotsu ramen) so they made a side of it for me with my chicken ramen. The gyoza was probably one of the tastiest I've had here on the mainland.Chicken karaage was spectacular as well.My only wish was that the chicken ramen broth was a little more flavorful.

I was about to order sushi again, and then realized that the last I tried this place, it wasn't bad, but perhaps the fish slices on Nigiri were thin for the price. They were practically bite sized also. So, things might have changed, but that was my experience a few months ago.

I was supposed to travel to Japan in spring of 2020. Needless to say, that trip hasn't happened yet. I'm so excited to have just found this wonderful little place. From the moment we stepped in we felt welcomed. The sushi was great, the sake was great, and this green tea ice cream was fantastic. Can't wait to get back.

The service and atmosphere of this cozy restaurant is welcoming and friendly. The staff were lovely and the decor was very pleasing. The green tea is excellent and served in a Japanese teapot which is a nice touch you don't often see. The food I have mixed opinions on.The agedashi tofu was well cooked but the dashi broth was flavorless and a layer of oil was on top of it. The tempura vegetables were similarly well cooked and had a good flavor, but the tempura batter was thick and heavier than I have come to expect from Japanese cuisine. The sushi was quite heavy on the sauces and cream cheese, though they were very fresh. I felt like the fish flavors didn't come through as much as I would have liked (they should be the star of the show).Overall, the place was very nice, but the food wasn't remarkable. Worth a try, and perhaps their entrees like teriyaki are better.Last observation: the prices have gone up on the menu since the photos on Google were taken. Some dishes were $3 more expensive, so the average sushi roll price was closer to $15. This is probably due to COVID but just a heads up that it may be more expensive than you planned on if you go based on the menu photos on Google.

nice people, cute place, and amazing food!! LOVE! the only place i get sushi in rohnert park

This is my new favorite Japanese restaurant. Im going back the next day for lunch. The service is amazing. The udon must have been taking them longer to make than usual because they gave us a free appetizer. I wouldn’t have noticed because the food still came fast. It has a great atmosphere and is a very nice place to sit and eat.

This place is so good! Everything was so tasty and fresh. I almost gave up on Sushi after my last experience at another place. We will be back soon. Very friendly people there too.

The warm house saki was one of the best I've had. Melon and sweet rice notes. Amazing
