Each time we visit CA we make sure to visit Black Bear Diner for a big breakfast. We've had wonderful experiences at locations in Sacramento and Rocklin before... but this one was absolutely dreadful. The food was terrible, it took a ridiculous amount of time to arrive, and we had to ask for every single little thing that normally just comes automatically (like silverware!). Definitely can't recommend it in the slightest, and most definitely won't go back.
We went to the Rohnert Park Restaurant for my son's birthday breakfast. The customer service was extremely disappointing, it took a long time for waitress to get water. They never came back to pour more. We had a party of 6. We waited for at least 20-30 minutes for our meals. They forgot one person's meal, brought it 5 minutes after everyone else's. Needless to say, my local son and Dil said they will NOT be back to this Black Bear again!
The eggs were teeny tiny. The hash browns were more like mashed potatoes. The fruit bowl was good. Once upon a time you would have had an oversized tasty meal not so anymore and then very pricey!
The burger was good the fries were soggy. That wasnt so bad, but I ordered my baby some fruit and mac n' cheese. The fruit was old, like left over from breakfast and the mac n' cheese was Kraft from the box. Lol. Dont even get the whole box. 8 bucks for about 25 cents worth of greasy and dry mac. The Rubens was decent, that's what got the third star.
Eating just a small meal to hold us over till dinner. We ordered Mac and cheese, coleslaw and house salad. The orders came with delicious cornbread muffins. Negative were the frozen cucumbers on my house salad. Why would these even be put on the salad?
I have been to Black Bear, Rohnert Park many times. I have always found it to be excellent. (food, service, portions). I have never left there hungry.Everything I've had was very good, but you must try the pot roast at least once. It is awesome.Sincerely,Kevin -- Cotati, CA
I came in on the weekend to get lunch. It wasn't very crowded. They took my name and then asked me to wait outside. Next person came and the seated her. I left. Very poor customer service. Don't recommend
A little bit of a wait to be seated. But great service and our meals came out pretty fast. The restrooms there were definitely not anything I'd want to use again. Next time I'll hold my pee. ..
We went to Black Bear Diner to have their Corned Beef and Cabbage special the week of St. Patrick's Day. We all had the Corned Beef with different styles of potatoes. We all enjoyed the meal immensely. As usual, their portions are large, so several slices of the Corned beef were brought home in a box (anticipate that there will be sandwiches tomorrow.)
I've always loved black bear dinner.But this one wasn't very good.A/C worked in restroom, but not the dinning room. In the restroom tolet paper was everywhere but the holders for it like someone worked there didn't know how to unlock the holder of tolet paper!John
