Listen. I keep my expectations fairly low for diners. But the food at this place was just sad. One of the two other people I went with was brought the wrong order at first, I was only brought half my order till I asked about it, and the third person in our group who did get their order found the meat was barely warm. Sausage tasted like it was out of a frozen package and barely microwaved. The corn bread tasted like it was from a cheap premix package. The waitress was super friendly but she seemed so stressed and there weren't many people dining there at all so all I could think was, wow, she even knows what she's serving us is bad. I enjoyed my iced coffee and that was about it. Also the gift store is kinda cool, I admit it. I bought chocolate. Otherwise I just really wish I had gone to a Denny's. Maybe the cooks at Cracker Barrel were just having a rough day, but I don't plan on ever going again. 3
I haven't been to Cracker Barrel in years. First time going to one on the West Coast. If things have changed THIS much over the years, it's very very sad for the restaurant. The food was amazingly bland, some of it down right disgusting. Until now, I have always had exceptional food from the chain. On a good note, the service was very good. Our server was named Brent. He was super friendly and accommodating.
The gift shop is cool and the pancakes were good. The biscuits were barely edible rock hard and the sausage was raw. Not going back for at least breakfast
Great gift store, well staffed and friendly. My Mom's Pancake breakfast was good, great coffee, very timely waitress.
Everything you would expect from a Cracker Barrel, except the ham tasted a little off, like maybe it was past it's shelf life...my wife agreed, too. Other than that, the waiter was nice and fast, and an overall good experience. Of course we got lost in the shop for quite a while afterwards and I really liked the 80's shirt in the attached pic, too.
My wife and I love Cracker Barrel. We invited some family to join us. I believe we have found new customers for Cracker Barrel. That "down home country family" setting says a lot for this restaurant chain. Our server, exceeded the expectations of our family members. As you walk up to these restaurants, the rocking chairs on the front porch are a welcoming site. Also, my wife can spend a long time in the gift shop, looking and buying some items.
The waiter was really bad. But don't let that stop you from going to this place. It was the first time there. The manager was nice a polite when we told him about the service we received. They have lots of cool stuff in the store before the restaurant. Friendly ladies behind the counter to take care of you. The food was great.
