While we really wanted to love Cool River Pizza, our first visit was less than stellar. The food itself was really good, but we were not thrilled with the business practices.Upon arrival at around 6:00 on a Saturday, we went to order an Extra Large pizza, but we were told that they were out of extra large dough. The person at the counter offered to have the kitchen stretch a large dough to fit an extra large, but it would be a thin crust. OR we could order 2 mediums.First, how does a business run out of dough before peak hours on a Saturday? Second, offering us the option of 2 mediums at a 48% upcharge from what would be the original amount, seems almost too advantageous. Maybe if we were offered a discount for the inconvenience? We placed our order for a large and some bread sticks instead, and sat down. Then, after looking at our receipt, we noticed a 5% surcharge for using our credit card. Nowhere in the restaurant or menu was this noted, nor were we told of this as we were paying. We sucked it up, but at this point, we were feeling pretty irritated. We didn't have to wait long for our pizza, and it was delivered to our table by a friendly and courteous employee. He left and we realized we didn't have any plates, and we needed napkins. We had to get up and ask for those. Not a big deal, but definitely added salt to the wound.Once we were able to eat, we were impressed with the pizza. The crust and toppings had good flavor and balance. If it were just about the pizza, we'd recommend Cool River, but everything else left a pretty bad taste in our mouths. It just felt lacking in customer service and honesty, which can go a long way, and made our visit disappointing.
I ordered a calzone and when it came out it was not what I order and manager said to correct the mistake she made I had pay 50% for another calzone even though the first one was not eaten.
Great pizza! The Buffalo pizza was really good! A nice little spot to grab pizza the remodel is very nice! And very nice staff great experience will definitely be back
Friendly staff, good food, and a good selection of beer on tap. Convenient to come here and get a quick bite and a beer while my tires are getting rotated at America's tire across the street.
The Buffalo River pizza is great!
Patrick was very kind and accommodating. The Hawaiian pizza was alright. The pieces were f pineapple were a bit too but for our liking. The buffalo chicken sandwich was the star of our lunch! 10/10
We have loved this place for many years but now all of a sudden the pizza sause is so spicy we.just cant eat it. ?
Some of the best pizza I have ever had great not crowded vibe perfect on a friday night
Great pizza. Super nice staff. I came in for a kids birthday party and had some pizza. What stood out was the crust. Everyone has a preference and mine was met perfectly. The crust was not rock hard and covered in dry flower like other places. It was not under cooked either, it was right in the middle, perfect. The crust was also flavorful almost like butter and garlic. I loved it and I usually throw out the crust. The rest of the pizza was great too with picturesque bell peppers, mushrooms, onions and sausage. I'll be visiting this pizza place again soon.
Wish I could give them more stars the service was nice and the employees were super friendly My biggest problem was the food. Old lettuce for salads pizza crust tasted like frozen pizza crust. Cesar salad was a red and bland. When your spend close to $100 on pizza you expect better then Red Baron
