Came here ask for a taco salad but since they didn't have shrimp I ask them if they can put it on, the waiter was super nice but when the salad came it was almost burned but since I don't eat the shell I didn't bother to mention it! But... when the check came they were charging me $27 for a bland salad almost burned shell just because of the shrimp. Super Overpriced, I complain and one person told us that's why we don't even have the shrimp as an option on the menu... I was yeah because you are charging people the whole bag of shrimps! I will never come back. Also the food wasn't the best, super bland and no flavor! I wouldn't mind to pay if the food was good.
Limited Menu, but so far the food is good
I friend referred me Cha-Cha's restaurant for a large party birthday dinner for my husband. I called and asked if they were able to accommodate a large party. I was told that they have a banquet room and it is not reserved right now. I said great I currently know of 10 people but know there may be more. When we arrived I was told the room was gone but they could still seat is at tables. When we were seated our party was separated by a large metal tree. We couldn't talk let alone see each other. Basically there was only one waitress, one cook and one "bartender" to accommodate my party. I even offered to help get things together for her and was turned down. When we ordered I was told my grandchildren 's plates would be put in first because she knew everything else ordered may take a little while longer. I received my food and refused it because it was not cooked properly (skin on the Rellenos was still on) Requested to have it taken off my bill at the same time I reminded her that my grandchildren have not received their food and everyone else have pretty much completed their plates. She apologized and put the order in. I requested the bill, she told me that she took off my plate as well as a taco plate that another guest refused. Then she turned to me and said that she will not credit another guests plate. I asked "why, he didn't eat it and was not happy with it" she didn't give an answer. It got worse from there. I come from a background of customer service and have never been so disappointed in a restaurant before. I very politely reminded her that accomodations does not just mean that they have the seating..... accommodating also means being able to provide the proper service to justify the 20% gratuity that will be added to our bill. The website states that you can make reservations but yet I kept being reminded that they will not. Until this restaurant is fully staffed and obtains a cook who can properly cook and season the food I do not recommend them. It was a good thing that the bartender over poured the drinks because it allowed me to tolerate the lack of service to a first time customer.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, huge portion, chips and salsa even if you dont ask, just complimentary. And the bartender, Michelle, is great. Shes kind and sees everyone and treats people like family no matter what. I watched so many people adoring her and found myself adoring her too. Shes a great lady trying to bring this place out of the bad reviews. The food, service, cleanliness.. Everything was amazing. And best margarita ive ever had! She is a gem. Please dont pass this place up. They even have authentic pozole! Of course i got it. So yummy. Tortilla soup, perfect. Beef flautas, amazing. And had beans in a cute little corn shell so it would mix with the rice or flautas. Its the little things! And this restaurant does it. Very much encourage this spot despite any bad reviews. Promise ! We even had leftovers for two days, and they just tasted better each time ❤?
I love Cha-Cha's!! Great service, beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious. I personally love the beef flautas. The Texan bean dip appetizer is a must. Decent prices too. We each got our own meals, an appetizer, and a drink for less than 50$$.
We really enjoyed Cha Cha's. We have lived on Rocklin for years but had never gone to Cha Cha's. The atmosphere was colorful and fun and the food was really good. Everything is made at the restaurant. I especially enjoyed the tamotillo (sp?) salsa and the poblano mole was very good as well. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the service was quick. A nice visit. We hope to return.
The best, cleanest, yummiest, most authentic and fun Mexican restaurant around! Nice, comfy, brightly decorated and yet cozy. Dishes are both traditional and nontraditional. Try them all. The tortilla soup is a whole meal. BTW, google keeps being changed to say they're always closed, but they are open all regular hours. Stop by, they're probably open. Worth it! They have a full bar, btw.

Waitress was nice and attentive. Food however, was way too salty. Plus, we ordered two Chile Rellenos to go. When we took them to our friends, they had given us two tamales and they were awful. Don't understand how they could have gotten that wrong. Not likely to return.
My husband and I were driving from Crockett and our friends took us to this place. Best service and the food is 100! I ordered enchiladas poblanas and the taste is authentic.
